Position Summary

Owns, leads and sells STERIS IMS efforts to develop and build new, and penetrate existing relationships with Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN’s), and other Key Accounts in their assigned regions.  The focus of this role is to exponentially grow STERIS IMS business through representing, and closing sales, for the entire range of STERIS IMS’ products and services, at senior levels of the customer organization, primarily the executive suite.

Duties

  • Utilize effective discovery questions to better understand our Customer needs, Value Drivers and challenges in obtaining business results.
  • Define STERIS IMS solutions in a way that differentiates STERIS IMS from our competitors.
  • Utilize STERIS IMS tools and resources to qualify new sales opportunities to ensure clarity and value of products and services.
  • Utilize the Opportunity Plan process to while working with new Customers or new products and services with existing Customers.
  • Initiates, builds and develops relationships with all key and/or executive decision makers that will result in profitable business awarded to STERIS IMS.
  • Develops strategy and leads implementation for sales growth within assigned accounts.
  • Responds to Customer Request For Information and Request For Proposal, including developing presentations.
  • Leads negotiation, including terms and conditions, with Customers for successful awarding of contracts and/or business.
  • Directs internal cross-functional team as needed to secure, and execute launch of new business for customer.
  • Develops and communicates launch requirements for new business with appropriate internal (STERIS IMS) departments, the field sales team, and external Customer, to ensure all affected parties understand responsibilities and activities to maintain and continue business growth.
  • Analyzes customer activity to determine sales growth and opportunities.
  • Participates in and attends trade shows, business meetings and events which will continue to strengthen customer relationships to increase sales growth.
  • Reports activities and sales numbers with respect to revenue goals and budgets.

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Bachelor’s Degree preferred (M. A.)
  • 5-7 years related sales management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Able to travel—up to 50% overnight travel
  • Must live in territory
  • Valid drivers license with acceptable driving record
  • Geographic mobility preferred
  • Experience with CRM software and basic Microsoft Office products
  • Position requires working vehicle with insurance compliant with Company requirements
  • Must possess working Smart phone (allowance will be provided)
  • No objection to GPS tracking (will be on phone or vehicle)
  • Must be available during common Customer hours, which can vary (might include evening and occasional weekend hours)
