Position Summary

Our dental segment, HuFriedyGroup, enables dental professionals to reduce risk, improve efficiencies, drive compliance, and enhance patient and staff safety.  At HuFriedyGroup, we are committed to helping dental professionals perfect their craft and deliver the highest level of care to each patient.

 

Performs assembly and packaging work utilizing lean principles to produce conscious sedation products in a controlled work environment. Assemble sub-assemblies and assemblies with the ability to follow written and verbal instructions using a variety of tools and automated equipment. Collaborates with people from other departments both inside and outside manufacturing with little to no supervision.

5:30 am - 2:00 pm, Monday-Friday

Duties

  • Assemble sub-assemblies, components and nasal hoods according to detailed assembly instruction.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Responsible for compliance and training to ISO 9001 and STERIS requirements
  • Use departmental test procedures, to ensure components and assemblies meet required specifications
  • Reject non-conforming parts and complete Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for Supervisor to approve
  • Individually pack and seal nasal hoods using an auto bagger.
  • Pack sealed nasal hoods into specified boxes with the appropriate quantities. 
  • Participate and promote safety culture by completing required safety observations
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Utilize SAP to enter shop floor transactions. 
  • Document revision levels, lot numbers, and serial numbers on revision data sheets for tracking quality of components and assemblies.
  • All other duties as assigned. 

Education Degree

High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • Assembly experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment with a high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, focus on quality of work, right the first time through mindset.
  • Must be able to read, follow work instructions and write details about production processes 
  • Proven ability to take direction, to listen, learn, and work in a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate with teammates and leadership both verbally and through writing  
  • Basic data entry and document retrieval skills 
  • Understanding of and willingness to adhere to STERIS Values and support our Mission and Vision.
