Position Summary
Our dental segment, HuFriedyGroup, enables dental professionals to reduce risk, improve efficiencies, drive compliance, and enhance patient and staff safety. At HuFriedyGroup, we are committed to helping dental professionals perfect their craft and deliver the highest level of care to each patient.
Under limited supervision, The Assembler I, assembles medical devices consisting of assemblies and subassemblies containing plastic and machined components using various handheld and power equipment to blueprint specifications. Performs leak testing and troubleshooting of assembly’s and subassemblies.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm
$1500 Sign on/Stay Bonus (Not applicable to internal candidates)

Duties
- Perform visual inspection of raw materials and or production assemblies, to meet quality standards.

Utilize blueprints to set-up each build in accordance to work orders.

Perform assembly of components that consist of machined and purchased parts.

Perform leak and assembly test per work instructions.

Perform trouble shooting when assemblies don’t pass testing. Communicate with engineering when necessary.

Verify assembly is in compliance with quality standards prior to submitting to quality assurance.

Comply with all FDA and ISO9001, and ISO 13485 guidelines.

Maintain clean, safe, organized work area - sustains process improvements that have been implemented into their respective areas. Actively participate in Continuous Improvement (examples: line side ideas, kaizens, and projects)

Execute Engineering Work Requests and special sample requests.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to utilize hand and power tools.
- High degree of attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve and troubleshoot and assemblies and subassemblies that do not pass testing.
Education Degree
- High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
- 1-2 years of experience assembling complex medical devices.
- Preferred - Knowledge and working experience with FDA, ISO9001 and ISO 13485 guidelines.
