We are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join us at a skilled level in a division that drives the business forwards through providing a best in class engineering service to our customers.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Service Engineer performs required preventive and corrective maintenance on the STERIS/Cantel product lines and field troubleshooting primarily in their service area in the country.

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance required on STERIS/Cantel product lines, related product lines, and competitive equipment.  This includes:  disassembling, replacing, or repairing defective parts; rewiring or reassembling as required; troubleshooting, adjusting/calibrating, and certifying equipment ready for use by using standard and specialized tools and test equipment (i.e., schematics, diagrams, technical manuals, etc.).

  • Perform administrative duties as assigned including computer synchronization daily, complete service reports, maintaining tools and parts inventory to prescribed levels as required by Team Leaders and Service Manager.
  • Uses the Corporate applications (Siebel, Oracle, Sales Connection, others) to handle his daily activity.
  • Develop and maintain effective, communicative relationships with customers, managers, support functions and the sales organization.
  • Maintains a courteous and professional demeanour when working with customers, contractors, management, and fellow employees. Utilize customer protocols when entering and exiting facilities and abide by all STERIS and Customer Health & Safety protocols and procedures. 
  • Provide solutions to customers to enhance sales and growth in the field through effective positioning of STERIS/Cantel products and services, identifying opportunities, and passing leads to management and sales.  
  • Other duties as assigned by the Service Manager:
  • The position description is not an exhaustive list of duties but is intended to give a general indication of work undertaken and will vary in the light of changing demands within the department. Substantive changes in the range of work will be carried out on consultation with the post holder.

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years industry related experience and a general knowledge of operating washing and sterilize processing units.
  • Valid driver’s license required. 
  • Good troubleshooting skills as well as proven organization attitude.
  • Computer literacy with a good standard of education with good oral and written communication.
  • Sufficient technical knowledge of the English language.
  • Completion of a recognized mechanical, electrical, or electronic technical training scheme. 

Pay rate for this opportunity is $[INSERT]. This position is incentive plan eligible, at target earnings of $[INSERT RANGE], depending on performance.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
