Position Summary

Supports the daily operations of a service processing facility as a cost center under the guidance of a Plant Manager or Director.  Duties include all phases of plant operations, including supporting production, maintenance, distribution and planning. 

Duties
  • Assists in the administrative of current and new business activities by developing plans and strategies to meet Customer requirements.
  • Lead Kaizan events and facilitate the implementation of correct actions. Utilizes
  • Ensure Customer product is properly received through monmitoring movement and storage of unprocessedf and processed product in a manner to permit accurage tracking and eliminate product damage.
  • Facilitiates process reviews, processing methods, equipment and training to drive improvement in efficiency and reduction in waste
  • Communicates in an effective manner by utilizing accepted bueinss practices in a courtesou and professional manner to provide timely and accurate responses and service oriented offers of assistance.
  • Assists Operations Leadershiop and production employees in resolving process problems through a drive to root cause and permanent corrective action 8-step process.
  • Assists production to troubleshoot process isues for improvement and sustainment.
  • Provides current and/or prospective Customers tours of the facility.
  • Works in conjunction with the Plant Manager in preparing the operating budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, compiling and studying costs.
  • Exhibits a commitment to the AST shared values of Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement through ensuring defect-free workmanship, assisting others to meet the Customer’s needs, searching for efficient and effective ways to reduce waste, being active and accountable for Customer satisfaction, and satisfying the Customer’s needs with a sense of urgency.
  • Contributes in a team effort by performing according to the guidelines outlined in the STERIS Code of Business Conduct, the GMP, Lean principles and other directives; supports the directives and decisions of higher level management and performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  1. Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
  2. Requires computer literacy to include word processing, spreadsheet and software capabilities.
  1. Effective interpersonal skills as demonstrated through prior management experience.
  2. Above average organizing, analyzing and a minimum of Level 3 math skills (ratios, proportions, basic algebra) to determine organizational Customer and regulatory problems to formulate corrective action plans.  
  3. Ability to adapt to changing duties and responsibilities.
  4. Ability to influence people in their opinions, attitude or judgements; to generalize, evaluate and make decisions in stressful situations.
  5. Normal hearing range sufficient to hear alarms, bells, horns, etc.
