WORKING PATTERN
Monday – Friday 8am-4pm
WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Stores person will report to Admin Supervisor on all matters related to the day-to-day operation of the stores, and will have responsibility for the following:
- The processing and delivery of customer medical product orders.
- The maintenance of material stock to within agreed maximum and minimum levels.
- To report to the unit managers any shortages of manufactured stock items
- The receipt of materials in accordance with quality procedures.
- Entry of all material receipts on to Oracle system.
- Collate orders and reconcile purchase orders against goods received notes and receipts
- Record on Oracle all Inter Depot transfers for materials transferred to Production or Sterile Stores or satellite stores.
- The preparation of documentation to carry out stock takes and entry of the results of such stock takes
- Ensure that all stock is correctly stored in labelled locations and that stock is used within expiry date criteria and that good store housekeeping is maintained.
- To monitor and operate within Health and Safety guidelines.
- To participate as an integral member of the sterile processing team and actively contributing to suggestions on innovation, continuous improvement, and best practice.
- To actively participate in staff development and training initiatives.
- To undertake relevant training to carry out job role and comply with relevant legislation.

Working Conditions
- To adhere to the Company Manual Handling policy and procedure in executing the safe transfer of instrumentation and sundry items around the Trust. This will require moving heavy weights manually and using trolleys on a regular basis.
- Requirement to use VDU and keyboard
- To be able to maintain concentration where the work pattern is predictable for example, maintaining high standards of accuracy when checking order into the system.
- Exposure to distressing or emotional circumstances is rare.
- Must be willing to consider working additional hours if the need arises.
- Able to fulfil Occupational Health requirements for the post including clearance on blood borne viruses in compliance with Company/customer policy
