We are currently recruiting for an Operations Manager vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at a management level and play a key part in the delivery of a world class service with plenty of career progression opportunity.

Working Pattern

Full-time, 37.5 hrs per week on Monday-Friday at 8:00-16:00. Flexible working is required for evenings and weekends if needed. 

What is involved?

  • Plan and manage staffing levels and work schedules to accommodate work volume changes and minimise overtime. 
  • Conduct GEMBA walks and 5S audits to ensure lean practices and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with SynergyTrak procedures and other regulatory standards like QMS, HTM 01-01, and MDR.
  • Monitor and analyse Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as defects, sickness, overtime, and quality, using IT tools to track and achieve targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering and suppliers to manage preventive maintenance and ensure timely completion of monthly testing.
  • Prepare for and manage audits, addressing non-conformities and handling customer complaints effectively.
  • Implement training programs and collaborate with site trainers to maintain staff competency and development.
  • Participate in Health & Safety committee meetings, report incidents and near misses, and ensure provision of First Aid and fire warden resources.
  • Enforce HR policies, manage employee well-being, handle absences, and conduct investigations as needed.
  • Promote Lean awareness across the team and ensure continuous improvement in safety, quality, delivery, and cost (SQDC) metrics.
