Position Summary

Join the STERIS Surgical Solutions team in Montgomery, AL as a Senior Software Developer where you can make an impact on the safety, health and well being of patients, physicians and clinicians on a daily basis as a result of your contributions. The team in Montgomery machines and assembles operating room equipment used throughout the world. You will be developing proprietary software that will interface with other packaged solutions. This is a highly visible and autonomous role in which you will have the ability to utilize your development skills and expertise, while also researching and learning about innovative solutions applicable to STERIS. •    Reviews and understands business requirements for development tasks assigned, including engineering requirements. 
•    Develops software interfaces to connect engineering and business applications.   
•    Collaborate with the product development and operations teams on NPD projects. 
•    Develops changes to programs to resolve issues.
•    Develops test scripts and tests programs according to business requirements.
•    Works with business users to test programs in Development and Quality.
•    Writes technical documentation throughout the software development life cycle.

Required Experience

•   Bachelors of Science Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical degree. 

•   5+ years of experience of full-stack developer experience in building applications that include responsive web applications using industry standards in Microsoft .NET, ASP .NET, C#, MVC Architecture with HTML 5, CSS3, ReactJS, Ajax, and JavaScript.  

•    Experience with AEC Collection, Revit, CFD, and Creo preferred

•    Experience writing software interfaces utilizing .Net is highly preferred. 
•    Experience with ReactJS.
•    Experience in User Interface (UI)/Human Machine Interface (HMI) development is required, which may include HMI touch screens or Graphical UIs.   Understanding of usability / human factors is desired. 
•    Knowledge of project management tools. Experience writing documentation, preferrably in a regulated environment. 
•    Experience working with source control tools, preferably like GIT.
