Position Summary
As an Inventory Specialist you will be responsible for the initiation and maintenance of inventory controls, policies, standard procedures and systems to achieve inventory integrity. This is accomplished through a comprehensive analysis of inventory transactions to identify problems, recommend solutions and drive implementation of improved practices, tools and policies.
Shift:
7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:00am-11:00an on Fridays
What you will do as an Inventory Specialist
Monitor and maintenance of over 13,000 active part numbers; approximately 8,500 shop orders alone with variance reporting and analysis.
Management of daily cyclical program and performs root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.
Manage and maintain inventory location integrity, assigned admin work centers, unplanned inventory transfers, and sub inventory interface reconciliation between AS400 and Oracle.
Responsible for creating and measuring statistical inventory data and variance reporting and analysis.
Print, assemble, and organize travelers.
Performs root cause analysis and timely resolution of customer complaints.
Participate in the reduction and disposition of excess and obsolete inventory.
Develops and maintains proper documentation and procedures.

The Experience, Skills and Abilities
Required:
High school graduate/GED
Other:
College degree in Business or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Strong computer skills to include Microsoft EXCEL, a working knowledge of Shop Floor Control and AS400 system and Oracle preferred.
Key competencies include sound business judgment and decision making.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to ensure timely completion of job responsibilities.
Ability to work with all employees at all levels of management.
Self starter, someone who is proactive and who can lead by example.
Demonstrated ability to think out of the box and help drive change.
Lean manufacturing knowledge and experience desired.
Willingness to work overtime.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and specifications.

Pay range for this opportunity is $17.67 - $22.87. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
