The Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating all logistics relative to Service Training programs including such items as: registration, travel arrangements, accommodations, training materials and training records. Provides accounting function interface by processing billing and Oracle iProcurement entries as required to support the training business. Provide administrative and project support to the Training Managers on confidential and routine business issues plus general administrative support to the Service Training Department staff. This position will work cross functionally with field sales, sales management, as well as external Customers and International Dealers.
 

What will you do as a Training Coordinator?

The primary responsibility is to promoting STERIS Service Training, providing solutions and building relationships with Customers via phone or email. To be successful in this position, the Training Coordinator must be comfortable working in a fast-paced agile environment and have success managing to deadlines.

  • Performs administrative duties relative to all STERIS Training programs delivered to STERIS Field Service Technicians, Field Instructors, International Dealers, and Customers.
  • These duties include registration, class roster compilation, and all logistical issues associated with the training sessions.
  • Maintains department policies and procedures and confidential training records.
  • Maintains the training databases as required to provide accurate, consistent data relative to all training sessions delivered by the Department. 
  • Responsible for the acquisition and inventory maintenance of items such as Company logo items and office supplies to support the training session and general office usage of the department staff.
  • Assist in providing and maintaining accurate information regarding Customer training on the STERIS Training Center website.
  • Primary telephone interface between the department and all internal and external Customers. Provides telephone backup for the department managers.
  • Consistently acts in a manner that meets or exceeds customer expectations while considering the reasonableness of request and fairness to STERIS.
  • Prepares quotations for Customers based on the service training needs.
  • Establishes and maintains ongoing relationships and communications with the field and corporate support departments such as Customer Operations, E-Businesses, Service Marketing, etc.
  • Prepares and provides daily, weekly, and monthly statistical information for reporting purposes utilizing various computer modules/programs to ensure appropriate and accurate documentation and data report occurs.
  • Participates in training as required.

What skills, abilities, and experience will you need?

  • High School Diploma / GED required
  • 3 years of administrative assistant or business office experience is required. Experience with Service operations preferred. 
  • Experience in a training environment (scheduling training, preparing materials etc.) preferred.
  • At least 2 years experience with demonstrated proficiency in software including word processing, database, spreadsheets, presentations, etc is required.
  • Customer Service experience required including excellent telephone and customer interaction skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and demonstrated proficiencies in scheduling, organizing data and preparing reports is required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Must be a highly motivated self-starter who can work effectively with little supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Must be able to effectively interface with various departments and levels inside and outside of the organization in order to expedite tasks.
