Position Summary

The Time System Coordinator works with managers, supervisors, timekeepers, and others in STERIS who use time keeping systems to ensure accurate reporting of time and attendance every pay period. The Time System Coordinator monitors access levels for time keeping systems to ensure compliance with timekeeping guidelines set forth by STERIS policy. The Time System Coordinator provides Manager and Timekeeper training, conducts audits of the time system and supports testing for system fixes and enhancements. 

Duties

  • Timely processing of various records, including labor input from Kronos, ETK (Electronic Time Keeping System) and MyTime.
  • Primary facility contact/administrator of the timekeeping system; responds to and assists in resolving difficult and sensitive requests.
  • Reviews and processes payroll adjustments when necessary.
  • Coordinates all local quality control of the timekeeping system.
  • Processes manual timesheets as needed.
  • Work with 3rd part time management system for any system issues.
  • Works daily reports including reviewing reports and updating employee profiles to ensure accurate processing of employee timecards.
  • Coordinates all training activities for the implementation and use of the timekeeping system for directors, managers, and time keepers ensuring that STERIS policy and procedures are being followed throughout the organization.
  • Develops an operational and technical expertise of the STERIS timekeeping system.
  • Run necessary payroll, timecard, and ad hoc reports when needed.
  • Assists supervisor with timekeeping specific implementation projects that affect payroll and human resources.
  • High degree of attention to detail, accuracy and follow through is a must.
  • Payroll and HRIS systems contain highly sensitive and confidential information which requires this position to maintain the ability to handle all information with professionalism and confidentiality. 

Required Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required, 
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience processing a multi-state payroll required
  • Associates degree preferred
  • Experience working with payroll systems is required, preferably ADP
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; Database data entry & reporting required
  • Working knowledge of how to navigate various fields in a timekeeping system required
  • Timecard processing required
  • Experience working with Kronos preferred
  • CPP or FPC preferred
  • Exhibits exceptional customer service skills (verbal and written); ability to work professionally with employees, and all levels of staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and handle deadline pressures. 
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of payroll policy and tax laws in various states.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to audit and analyze data, and report trends and outcomes.
