Position Summary

This is an instrumental role within the HRIS team at STERIS to ensure data integrity across  Success Factors LMS. The System Administrator  will be responsible for administration, analysis, maintenance, and support functions of the STERIS University Online Learning Center (SuccessFactors LMS). This person will manage system security and implement quality controls to ensure data integrity.  This is a highly visible role as the subject matter expert in the architecture and the system’s features and functions.  The Systems Administrator is also the liaison between STERIS stakeholders, and the LMS vendor, working closely with IT, HRIS, and other training departments.

What you will do

  • Manage system architecture (solution design) for the internal employee domains. 
  • Manage and audit user permissions.  Provide appropriate level of system access.  Enforce standards, policies, and procedures. 
  • Lead business/learning analysis efforts to drive enhancements to the learning management system.  Deliver best-practice solutions aligned with goals and strategies.  Look for opportunities to leverage work across multiple training groups.  
  • Ensure the integrity of all data residing in the LMS.  Lead, coordinate, and participate in system testing.
  • Respond to system support needs by researching, recommending and implementing solutions.  Escalate critical issues.
  • Recommend process improvements.
  • Document policies and procedures and create training materials for content/catalog administrators.
  • Execute implementation strategies for global learning programs to ensure successful deployment.
  • Manage routine and custom reports, providing qualitative and quantitative analysis on ad-hoc basis.

Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree  (Training & Development, Software Development, IT, or Business)
  • Minimum 1 year experience with the SuccessFactors LMS (Learning Management System).
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Training and Development, working extensively with learning management systems.
  • Minimum 2 years authoring experience.
  • Subject matter expertise in the SuccessFactors and/or other Learning Management systems.
  • Understanding of HTML.
  • Ability to learn quickly, independently and problem solve.
  • Ability to pro-actively manage stakeholders through communication and building alignment
  • Demonstrated skills in business analysis, including documentation of workflows and application of documented workflows into an e-Learning system.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with other internal staff as well as external vendors.
  • Ability to organize time effectively, determines priorities, and move work forward independently.
  • Exhibit excellent teamwork and ability to collaborate with cross functional team members.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, staff, customers, and vendors.
  • Strong project management skills, proven analytical skills and demonstrated ability to make independent decisions. 
  • Critical thinking skills to assess reporting needs/requirements and determine appropriate solution
