This position can be home office based or work out of our corporate headquarters in Mentor, OH.


The Talent Acquisition Partner at STERIS is the leader of hiring teams and assigned business/function hiring strategy. To this end you will perform full lifecycle recruiting, develop deep business partnerships, and execute a broad-based search strategy that ultimately delivers a strong talent pipeline for the business. As a subject matter expert to your hiring teams, you will also use data to tell the story and obtain market intelligence to inform and educate.  In this role you will be given the opportunity and room to participate in process optimization, technology deployment, employment branding and candidate engagement/experience projects.   

Specific Responsibilities

  • Lead search strategy creation and execution for a wide range of professional salaried and salaried non-exempt positions. 
  • Be a talent market advisor and consultant to hiring teams, which includes finding opportunities outside of intake and update calls for direct engagement and learning within the business or function you support.   
  • Develops and execute innovative strategies to source and select the best talent in the market, efficiently and cost effectively.
  • Ensure process and hiring teams are providing an exceptional candidate experience, and be a STERIS brand ambassador to candidates, presenting a positive and compelling company image.
  • Seek opportunities to contribute to projects or tasks that support your personal growth goals.
  • Leverage the full range of tools and sources available to you to generate a diverse and qualified talent pool.   
  • Build a presence and following on social media with respect to your recruiting assignments.
  • Constantly farm and stay in contact with all candidates you have encountered that stood out to you. 
  • Participates in technology deployment, process optimization and various other TA related projects as interested.

Required Experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 7 years of recruitment experience
  • Minimum 4 years of passive search experience
  • Must have experience filling jobs at Senior Manager or Director level
  • Must have experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years supporting mid-level professional of higher roles
  • Diversity of experience in both positions filled and recruiting environments
  • MBA or Masters degree from an accredited institution
  • Active recruiting certification (CIR, CDR, TSC etc.)

  • Passion and sincere interest in performing search with diversity organizations, job board, and networks.
  • Skill and ability to help guide hiring teams to the right requirements and qualifications for positions, including providing coaching when this might not be the case.
