Senior Supply Chain Analyst

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst (Senior Data Analyst - Transportation and Distribution) will identify, lead, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly Transportation and Distribution KPIs. You will be responsible for gathering and interpreting a collection of company data to generate reports, KPIs, cost savings projects, and monitor performance to improve efficiencies and drive improvement efforts. This position will require researching new and existing technology, collaborating with leadership on company strategies, and staying abreast with changes in technology.

What you will do as a Senior Supply Chain Analyst:

  • Assist Transportation and Distribution leaders with establishing overall analytical strategy and roadmap.
  • Creation of functional KPIs and reports for Transportation and Distribution.
  • Closely work with IT BI team to develop and evaluate existing technology that enables quicker and better analytics.
  • Provide all support function activity including accuracy and timeliness of data processing, reporting analysis, and all other inquiries.
  • Designs and creates data visualizations (reports and dashboards) using Tableau or Power BI tools.
  • Participate in the collection and execution of Transportation RFQs.
  • Develops and produces spend analysis, savings reporting, and other metrics to enable communications and decision making.
  • Work with other groups to determine and standardize the item master database.  Determine common units of measure, part format, and part details.
  • Serves as SME (subject matter expert) on all business intelligence databases, Transportation and Distribution technology.
  • Supports the training and usage of data analytics capabilities within the Supply Chain and operations teams.
  • Ability to compile, review, and analyze data sets for areas to reduce operational costs.
  • Work with Transportation and Distribution colleagues to continuously improve the department and achieve department goals.
  • Identify and resolve data quality/integrity issues.
  • Ensure process documentation is created, maintained, and shared within Transportation and other departments.
  • Troubleshoot BI and Analytics tools, systems and software; performance-tune applications as necessary.
  • Communicates and collaborates well with Transportation and Distribution colleagues and the business leaders to strategize on impactful projects and deliver value added analytics to monitor key areas of the business.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Supply Chain Analytics or Operations or other related roles, OR
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with advanced knowledge in data gathering, developing reports and dashboards, using industry standard software (Tableau Prep and Tableau Desktop, or Power BI strongly preferred)

  • Proven competence to take an idea from creation to post implementation whether in a group or individual environment.
  • Ability to execute data improvement and the transition of business requirements into relevant, shareable pieces of information.
  • Exceptional planning, organization skills, attention to detail, communication and team skills.
  • Effective Project Management skills.
  • Ability to perform multi-source data consolidation.
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to quickly recognize patterns and related activity.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem solving, organization, time management skills.
  • Proficient in data analysis, defect identifications and resolutions.
  • Ability to inspire and instill a common vision and framework.
  • Working knowledge of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) applications (SAP, Oracle) a plus.
  • Experience with Tableau and Power BI a must.
  • Established history of influencing business.

Work Schedule:

  • This is a hybrid schedule opportunity based in Mentor, OH.
  • The schedule is 3 days/week onsite, 2 days/week remote. 
  • Up to 15% travel.
