Position Summary

STERIS is seeking an experienced Senior Product Designer to contribute to our growing Product Design team. If you're passionate about crafting intuitive and delightful designs and have a track record of influencing the design direction of digital products, we'd love to hear from you.

**This position is fully remote and can be located anywhere within the Continental U.S. There will be daily meetings with team members in multiple time zones within the U.S. and  the U.K. 

What You Will Do

•    Demonstrate creative and innovative problem solving while owning the entire End-to-end design process.
•    Hands on design work from sketches to interactive high-fidelity prototypes, ensuring they align with business goals and user needs.
•    Conduct user research and usability testing to continuously refine and optimize the user experience.
•    Play a pivotal role in expanding our design systems for scalability and consistency.
•    Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, business analyst, and technical author, and leadership to bring design visions to life and create compelling consumer experiences.
•    Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and consumer preferences, ensuring our products remain innovative and relevant.
•    Advocate for a user-centric design approach, leveraging feedback and research to drive design decisions.
•    Present design concepts to internal and external stakeholders, adapting based on feedback and direction.
•    Utilize advanced design software for prototyping and testing, showcasing your creative problem-solving skills.
•    Continuously identify opportunities for product enhancements, iterating designs as needed.
•    Possess some design and cross-functional leadership abilities.
 

Key Qualifications

•    6+ years of experience required with a focus on user-centered design principles and methodologies as a Product Designer or User Experience Designer.
•    Strong proficiency in design and prototyping tools like Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD.
•    Comprehensive knowledge of design systems, style guides, and UI toolkits with 5+ years of relevant experience.
•    4+ years of experience in a SaaS or software development environment.
•    Demonstrated experience leading user research and usability testing initiatives.
•    Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
•    Understanding of accessibility standards and guidelines.

 Pay range for this opportunity is $77,800.00 - $104,727.00.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

 

Employees (and their families) may enroll in our company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, flexible spending, health savings account, voluntary benefits, supplemental life/AD&D plans and the company’s 401k plan. Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability.  Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
