Position Summary

The Pricing Senior Analyst is responsible for creating pricing models for the Steris V. Mueller portfolio.  The role involves analyzing pricing data and market trends to develop effective go to market pricing strategies as it relates to GPO’s and IDN’s. You will be part of the sales team and responsible for building Customer pricing proposals, compiling proposal analytics, analyzing current pricing and cost structure, and evaluating contract compliance. This person will guide both strategic & tactical pricing decisions, utilizing both internal and external data sources for analysis.

 

This individual will be expected to routinely provide detailed insight and business recommendations based on data, analytics, and business experience with our systems. This individual will be expected to provide accurate reporting tools and spreadsheet models to support sales objectives. They also will identify opportunities for improvement with sales operations processes, prioritize multiple projects, and service team needs as they arise and find ways to accomplish goals in a dynamic organization.  You will thrive in a highly collaborative environment, working with Sales Management and Product Managers in business activities related to sales analysis.

Duties

  1. Lead strategic business analysis for strategic IDN customers ensuring alignment with GPO pricing & business strategy.
  2. Analyze service profitability and identify margin-improvement opportunities.
  3. Develop and define pricing structures.
  4. Develop and execute pricing strategy and tactical execution.
  5. Establish price rules and guidelines.
  6. Assist the sales team on pricing formats, policies, and strategies.
  7. Define, monitor, and enforce the price decision escalation process.
  8. Evaluate and make recommendations on special pricing requests.
  9. Develop, monitor, and analyze customer incentives, rebates, discounts, and promotions and ensure they are within set guidelines
  10. Work with Product Managers and Marketing personnel to develop strategic price marketing strategies. Monitor and analyze such strategies and report performance to Senior Management.
  11. Lead discussions with Sales and Key Account Leadership to suggest areas for improvements in pricing and profitability.
  12. Assist with large contract negotiations and bids as needed.
  13. Monitor and improve estimation and quoting process and ensure compliance to guidelines.
  14. Assist with support to field sales organization as it relates to reports, tactical pricing, strategic pricing, and sales operations processes.
  15. Routinely report progress and pricing market conditions to Senior Management.
  16. Actively engage the Sales Management team throughout the offer development process to capture feedback and to allow for the realignment of direction within the offer development cycle as appropriate. 
  17. Complete quarterly Customer sales analysis and manage Customer contract commitments.
  18. Collaborate with Strategic Accounts and Sales Management team on GPO Tier Re-slot.
  19. Create a committed customer database and manage committed Customer contract rebate payment agreements.
     

Required Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5 years of relevant work experience
  • Extensive experience with Oracle, Sales Connection as well as other ERP / CRM systems.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with advanced proficiency in MS Excel required.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI.
  • Strong technical skills including an understanding of relational databases.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Understand Group Purchasing Organization and Integrated Delivery Network pricing structures.
  • Understand the structure and functionality of internal price tables.
  • Understand the common market pricing models, strategies, and modes of delivery for each surgical device and surgical instrument service type.
  • Understand the impact of pricing on profit margins and in cooperation with the Finance Department calculate impact of pricing and program actions on financial statements.  
  • Understand contract negotiations and bids as well as proposal development.
  • Understand federal pricing regulations.
  • Familiarity with key competitors pricing strategies. 
  • Ability to plan and implement a structured business process, e.g. periodic review of pricing agreements and coordination of tactical decisions amongst team of key stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.

Pay range for this opportunity is $67,750 - $94,763 annually. This position is eligible for annual company bonus plan.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
