As STERIS continues to grow, we have a need for a Senior HR Manager to support our Operations Planning, Sourcing, Corporate Quality, and Corporate Continuous Improvement teams.
Position Summary
As a key member of the HR leadership team, the Senior HR Manager will lead initiatives to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, engagement, continuous improvement, goal attainment and organizational growth. You will have the opportunity to contribute as a strategic partner in reaching company objectives and goals through the delivery of meaningful HR initiatives and strategies.
This position is based in based in Mentor, OH. Hybrid work schedule is available.
Duties
• Develop, drive, and deliver HR strategy within area of responsibility.
• Work directly with business leaders and lead key HR functions to maintain a highly engaged culture, motivating employees, fostering an environment with high levels of teamwork, accountability, communication and with a focus on diversity and inclusion.
• Take a lead role in organizational design and implementation in partnership with the business.
• Ensure that organizational staffing, training, and development needs are met.
• Manage employee relations and provide counseling, and guidance on follow up actions.
• Drive performance management initiatives. Coach and guide managers in the development and delivery of an effective performance management process and ongoing feedback. Provide support in the creation of individual development plans for employees.
• Ensure company compensation, benefits, and other HR programs are in place and managed to support established goals and objectives.
• Assess and deliver training on various HR related topics.
• Ensure compliance with employment laws/regulations.
• In conjunction with corporate and business leadership, develop and support employee communication initiatives.
• Lead and develop HR team members(s) towards their own growth, performance, and meeting objectives.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree required; major in Human Resources Management, psychology, business, or other related field. Master’s degree, a plus.
- 10 years of progressive HR Business Partner experience in a variety of HR areas including talent acquisition, talent management, talent development, succession planning, training, employee relations, organizational development and design, and other aspects of HR service delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in effective project management.
- Experience in a continuous improvement / lean environment, preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with 5 years experience leading an HR function.

• Proficiency with MS Office, HRIS systems, and other technical applications.
