Position Summary

Are you a creative problem solver who can execute those solutions in a collaborative work environment?  Join our talented product development team and start contributing your innovative ideas as our newest Senior Engineer.  In this role, you will determine feasibility of various product ideas from a technical and implementation standpoint and make recommendations for future product development. You will independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete assigned engineering tasks or while implementing new/modified designs to achieve technological improvements.  In addition, you will have accountability for managing optimal process efficiency, product cost, quality, and capacity utilization.  The Senior Engineer provides strong, hands on leadership serving as a mentor to developing engineers and embraces continuous improvement philosophies and tools.


•    Effectively uses company resources by incorporating new technological advances and by employing improved design technology in executing engineering assignments.
•    Defines and leads the design, development, and implements activities required to support both new products, and/or solve problems on current products, by applying broad based technical skills and acquired knowledge of several branches of science and engineering.
•    Documents complex troubleshooting procedures related to system hardware.
•    Applies code/standards guidelines and requirements to product design.
•    Performs and/or assigns engineering investigations involving calculations and/or tests in support of new product designs, methods, or process studies.
•    Responsible for the actual designs, and for leading the individuals developing the designs, and the drawings for a variety of components, sub-assemblies, processes or equipment in support of control projects.
•    Supervises interactions with vendors, suppliers and consultants to assure engineering models and prototype parts comply with designs and specifications.
•    Leads in planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance.
•    Provides technical guidance and assistance to other engineers.

Education Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Required Experience


  • Advanced degree in specific engineering field and/or professional engineering licenses a plus


Skills & Experience

  • Six plus years successfully demonstrating a broad knowledge of engineering principles showing creativity and originality.
  • Continuous Improvement (Lean/Six Sigma) experience with a green or black belt a plus.
  • Proficient in engineering computer tools and Microsoft Office suite
  • Strong knowledge of process and systems design tools and procedures
  • Sound engineering judgement- capable of solving complex engineering problems through accurate interpretation of requirements and test results.
  • Strong time management skills- sets and meets deadlines successfully
  • Mentors team members successfully
  • Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
