Position Summary

Do you know how to look at a process and determine its effectiveness and efficiency?  Are you good at analyzing data and solving problems?  If so, then come join our team as a Senior Business Analyst. In this role you will be responsible for the analysis and support of Life Sciences Global Equipment and Service operations.  You will lead the current team of analysts to help drive results through routine and ad-hoc reporting supporting the Life Sciences Balanced Scorecard.  As the Senior Analyst you will develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and reports, as well as perform analysis to meet the needs of the entire LS Global Team.  The senior analyst’s responsibilities include operational analysis, dashboard and scorecard creation, key performance indicator (KPI) identification and analysis, and providing strategic and operational analysis as needed. 

  • Acts as team lead of the Life Sciences analysts to develop strategic Tableau dashboards, scorecards and reports, as well as perform analyses to meet the needs of the LS Global Team. 
  • Partner with the Life Sciences business team to identify and create specialized reporting or data retrieval, needed for critical business decisions. Utilize knowledge of the Life Sciences operations and internal systems to provide insightful, accurate and timely analysis.
  • Independently identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve the operational performance of the business unit.
  • Independently identify opportunities to improve process flows related to the analytical procedures performed, including utilization of emerging technologies.
  • Develop and maintain procedural documentation, including database creation and maintenance, data entry rules, and reporting requirements and definitions.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting as requested to meet the needs of the Life Sciences Equipment and Service organization.
Education Degree
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Business
Required Experience

Work experience requirements:

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Operations, Finance or related technical/analytical focus preferred
•    4-7 years of demonstrated analysis and reporting experience required
•    Advanced knowledge and demonstrated use of business reporting and financial systems (i.e. Oracle, Excel, Informatica, Cognos, Microsoft Access, Tableau etc.)

Skills and/or Business Competencies:
•    Strong resolution and problem solving skills. 
•    Strong analytical skills and business acumen.  
•    Advanced Excel, and PowerPoint skills. 
•    Advanced skill in manipulating large amounts of data into meaningful information. 
•    Experience in developing metrics.  
•    Project management skills desired.
•    Ability to be a self-starter; excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. 
•    Excellent attention to detail; ability to work as a team member, as well as independently; ability to perform comfortably in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment; ability to successfully execute many complex tasks simultaneously.
•    Customer service orientation is mandatory.
•    Experience in developing business process standardization
•    Ability to interact with all levels of management.
