Position Summary

The incumbent solves non-conformity problems detected in the manufacturing work cells. Employee may provide support to suppliers to help them meet STERIS quality standards. Employee may provide training on the quality system, manage calibration of measurement instruments, participate in new product development, and directly support quality system initiatives.

Duties
  1. Initiates and coordinates identification, disposal, repair, and approval process when a non-conformity has been detected in production. Does the follow-up to ensure that the identified solution is sustained.
  2. Initiates and coordinates problem solving process if required after detection of a defect in production.
  3. Provides training on Quality System’s procedures and instructions.
  4. If required, inspects parts in production during investigations or for other specific needs.
  5. Writes special inspection plans when needed.
  6. Supports Quality Systems Manager or Quality Engineer in updating data and indicators pertaining to quality management or in other various tasks.
  7. Participates in design reviews.
  8. Actively participates in various projects pertaining to continuous imrovement, problem solving, and corrective actions.
Education Degree
  • Associate's Degree
Required Experience
  1. 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment (ideally in a Quality team)
  2. Lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50lbs is required
  3. Customer and results oriented
  4. Teamwork
  5. Abilities in problem solving
  6. Preciseness and attention to details
  7. At ease with documentation
  8. Ability to communicate
  9. Time and priority management ability
  10. Ability to provide recommendations
  11. Initiative and good judgment
