Production Planner II

Position Summary

The Master Planner inputs planning data into the material plan that best meets the Market Forecast, stocking levels, inventory objectives and Customer requirements for assigned products. This role manages inventory and maintains its integrity for assigned products to meet the Company’s and the Material Department objectives.

This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH (Hopkins) facility 3 days/week, with the expectation of up to 15% domestic travel. This role is not eligible for Visa Sponsorship or H1B Transfer. 

What You'll do as a Master Planner II

• Formulates the master production plan that best meets market forecasts, inventory objectives and customer requirements based on value stream constraints.
• Loads MRP based on agreed upon build plan driving site level inventory spend.
• Escalates build interruptions for resolution to ensure excellent customer service.
• Schedule sales orders in Oracle to availability, SSQ lead-time and to best meet customer’s requirements.
• Work with Customer Sales Support to resolve scheduling issues as well as Manufacturing to resolve any Purchasing and Production issues. 
• Resolve daily MRP problems, including identifying product structure problems, input and other errors.
• Participate in new products implementation and handle Phase-In/Phase out planning for their products that will assist in minimizing obsolete inventory and provide a smooth timely product implementation. 

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required

• Bachelor's Degree 
• Plus 3 years of experience in planning. 
  • OR High School Diploma
  • Plus 11 years of experience in supply chain. 
• Advanced experience with material requirements planning (MRP) and Master Planning. 

Preferred

• Experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment. 
• Experience in Oracle. 
• Certification in related field (APICS). 

Other

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
