Position Summary

The primary focus for the Product Manager position is to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability objectives for the assigned product or category.    


The Product Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of the overall strategy for the Infection Prevention Technology (IPT) refurbished products.

The position is a mixture of downstream and upstream marketing with balanced focus on refurbished product offerings and initiatives centered on product/model selection, key sales strategies and execution.  


Marketing Strategy Development, Execution & Program Management

  • Work closely with the commercial teams to determine product & pricing and Sales collateral that provide a logical and seamless approach to selling value.
  • Collaboratively identify issues, new opportunities and associated strategies within assigned procedural areas through frequent conversations and interactions with Customers, Operations, Sales & Service Teams.
  • Drive, develop and deliver content used in sales meetings & training, national & regional conferences, events and webinars
  • Communicate with Operations, Sales and Service field representatives to assure awareness of product changes, pricing changes, new sales collateral, corrective measures, etc.      

Leadership & Team Building

  • Create and drive short and long-term product /procedural planning process within assigned product/procedural areas to achieve corporate goals
  • Win mind share with internal cross functional team members through a collaborative approach to identifying solutions based on data, building excitement and consensus specific to assigned product/procedural area to drive projects forward.
  • Cultivate and utilize industry relationships to support procedural category Voice of Customer research.
  • Maintain cohesive Project Management approach to strategic issues across assigned product categories.

Procedural & Product Planning

  • Collaborate with Operations, sales and marketing leadership on the development/execution of Plans of Action (POAs) and new refurbished product launches including:
    • forecasting and financial planning/business case development
    • market potential/opportunity and target share by product line
    • needs based Customer segmentation
    • value proposition creation
    • competitive analysis
    • ASC/ GPO / IDN participation
    • understanding of market pricing by product 
    • key issues and trends
    • strategies to support sales execution
    • Operations and production capabilities
    • Field Service Support and parts availability
  • Identify, establish, and maintain productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Accounts (KAs) in the medical community –often related to product areas of focus
  • Demonstrate a robust understanding of the competitive product marketplace
  • Keep informed and proactively act on current market trends and sales analysis to sharpen ability to plan, review, adjust and approve product/procedural plans, including the identification of future CPO product offerings 
  • Provide pricing strategy stewardship within assigned product categories
  • Collaborates with Sales on large project quotes and bids to secure new business
  • Develops project schedule through MS project or alternative project planning tool
  • Collaborates and understands production and operational needs and resources  
  • Up to 35% travel expected to develop Sales, Service and Customer relationships for successful project completion

Market Research & New CPO Product Selection Development

  • Provide strong leadership in all phases of new refurbished selection process
  • Provide strong commercial and clinical Voice of Customer supporting recommendations for new CPO product offerings based on qualitative and quantitative research.
  • Actively participate in product Surveys with Customers to determine if product meets market needs
  • Drive planning for new CPO product launches including forecasting, sales collateral, equipment evaluation requirements, pricing guidelines, and product training. 
  • Review industry publications and practices to ensure CPO products align with External and Internal Regulatory oversight and requirements meet Customer needs and industry guidelines

Required Experience

  • BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communications, technical or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience
  • 2 + years of experience in Marketing and/or Project Manager (medical device experience preferred)
  • Up to 35% travel domestically and globally
  • Strong decision-making skills; understands how decisions impact production, Sales & Service teams
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency for executing strategic plans and achieving product revenue goals
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving capabilites
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
