STERIS is seeking a Product Manager to support our SAP and DET portfolios.  In this role, you would be responsible for new product development, market development, market research, product marketing and promotions and sales support to achieve global revenue, gross margin and marketing objectives.   

Duties

Marketing Strategy Development, Execution & Program Management
⦁    Work closely with commercial team to increase product penetration & utilization through development of tools and programs that provide a seamless approach to selling value.
⦁    Collaboratively identify issues, opportunities and associated strategies within assigned procedural areas through frequent conversations and interactions with Customers, sales leadership and account managers.
⦁    Communicate to assure awareness of product changes, pricing changes, new sales tools, corrective measures, etc.      
 

Leadership & Team Building
⦁    Create and drive short and long-term product /procedural planning process within assigned product areas to achieve defined goals
⦁    Use a collaborative approach with cross functional team members to identify solutions based on data, building excitement and consensus to drive projects forward
 

Procedural & Product Planning
⦁    Collaborate with sales and marketing leadership on the development/execution of Plans of Action (POAs) and new product launches. including: forecasting and financial planning, market potential and target share by product line, value proposition creation include product training, competitive analysis and pricing strategy stewardship
⦁    Identify, establish and maintain productive relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Accounts (KAs) for product areas of focus in the Life Sciences community
 

Market Research & New Product Development
⦁    Provide strong commercial Voice of Customer supporting recommendations 
⦁    Support cross-functional new product development teams with market objectives when completing documentation, feasibility testing, and risk analysis for new products and line extensions
⦁    Actively participate in product testing with Customers to determine if product meets market needs
⦁    Drive planning for new product launches including forecasting, sales collateral, equipment evaluation requirements, pricing guidelines, and product training.
 

Required Experience

•    BA or BS degree preferably in scientific related discipline - prefer Microbiology, Biology, Chemistry. Engineering degree acceptable.
•    Minimum five (5) years of relevant marketing/product management experience; prefer experience in manufacturing industry preferably pharmaceutical, bio-pharma or med device industry

 

Preferred Experience:

•    MBA strongly preferred
•    5+ years of product marketing experience in the Life Sciences industry
