Position Summary

The Operations Engineering Lead for the Hendricks project will serve as subject matter expert for the existing operations including product, process, equipment, and functionality. This individual will be either responsible or involved in all key decisions impacting operations at Hendricks including (but not limited to) equipment, building design, IT system selection/integration, material flow, and required process changes.

What You’ll do as an Operations Engineering Lead

  • Lead and participate in day-to-day project management activities, including facility layout, equipment design, product/process/material/personnel flow, etc. driving project execution to achieve scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings and decision making forums to deliver project plans, schedules, and key milestones. Adjust plans proactively to address emerging challenges.
  • Escalate risks and implement risk mitigation strategies including contingency planning.
  • Develop project deliverables including dashboards and executive level reports.
  • Serve as subject matter expert for operations. Involve other key stakeholders as needed for input, recommendations, and decision making.
  • Serve as point of contact for Mentor site(s) stakeholders on all Hendricks operational items.
  • Monitor performance, communicate, and escalate as applicable.
  • Develop commissioning and startup plans.
  • Provide ongoing support during commissioning to effectively transition project to Operations, ensuring smooth startup. Ensure all installers and operators receive the necessary training on all applicable safety and security work practices and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Mechanical, Industrial or related
  • Minimum 8 years experience in Project management, Engineering, and or R&D with progressively more responsibility
  • Experience with submitting and managing CAPEX projects
  • Experience with development lifecycle and stage gate development methods
  • Minimum  5 years Regulated Experience (Defense, Aerospace, Medical Devices, Appliances)
    Experience managing engineers and other support positions, in either direct or indirect manners
  • Proven record leading high-caliber projects with cross functional teams.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in driving continuous improvement for performance, quality, time, and cost; strong planning and organization skills 

 

Preferred:

  • Experience leading insourcing projects is desirable
  • Experience with FDA, GMP, ASME, PED, CR, CE

  • Ability to balance multiple programs and platform technologies to provide optimum service to the business
  • Ability to work in a highly regulated environment
  • Ability to lead and collaborate within a team-based matrixed organization at the management level in all business functions, levels, and cultures
  • Demonstrated ability to make sound data-driven business decisions; Understand, track, drill down, and question activities and issues in all functional areas. Strong attention to detail, follow-through skills
  • Sets the standard for the timeliness, work ethic, and personal integrity
  • Must have excellent oral communication skills and be able to interact with sales/service/Customers/ vendors
  • Must have excellent written communication skills (reports, presentations, etc.)

The range for this position is $90,737.50 to $112,087.50. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
