The Role
Reviews, prepares and processes drawings and other documents related to planning and project activities with minimal guidance from senior personnel. Responsible for accuracy, appearance and quality work. Under the direction of senior personnel, coordinate all project activities (pre- and post-order) with assigned Planning Department Personnel and/or other departments (Field Based Sales Teams, Marketing, and Engineering).
This is a hybrid position. Team members are in our office in Mentor OH at least 2 days/week.
What You Will Do
- Prepare or revise sketches, detailed drawings, brochure requests, and other documents depicting STERIS’s planning recommendations, using equipment specifications, drawings, and related material. Prepare similar material in support of post-order submittal and activities.
- Prepare dimensioned equipment location, electrical, and mechanical drawings identifying equipment position, clearances, and services using AutoDesk AutoCad and Revit Software.
- Develop original plans. The complexity of these assignments increases with experience at the discretion of senior personnel.
- Responsible for thoroughly checking all assigned project material.
- Prepares project communication memos/emails.
- Work with senior personnel to resolve any conflicts arising during review, preparation, processing, or revision of drawings and documents, and identify / develop optional solutions.
- Interface with other departments (Contract, Engineering, Sales Order, etc.), as directed by senior personnel.
- All work must be completed to the satisfaction of the Design Group Leader regarding completeness, accuracy, appearance, and conformance to Company and department standards within stated time limits.
- Responsible for efficient utilization and care of Company equipment, facilities, and supplier.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Associate’s Degree in Architectural Design Technology
- 7 years of experience in architectural design and drawing
- Must have the ability to communicate with individuals outside the Planning Department on an effective and professional basis.
What Will Help You
- Certification in Autodesk, AutoCAD and Revit
- Prefer at least two (2) years experience in hospital planning and possess a working knowledge of STERIS equipment and planning techniques, with a demonstrated ability to independently discharge duties in an accurate and timely fashion.
