Job Title:  Manager, International Tax

Position Summary

STERIS is seeking a Manager, International Tax to join the corporate Tax Department located at our North American headquarters in Mentor (Cleveland), Ohio. You will manage specific aspects of the International Tax function at STERIS, including detailed document review for International income taxes, compliance, reporting, Non-U.S. audits, transfer pricing and more.

*This position is located onsite in Mentor, Ohio with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. 

Duties

•    Review non-US quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations (ASC 740)
•    Review account reconciliations for Non-US locations, including:
o    Deferred Tax account reconciliations 
o    Current Income Tax account reconciliations 
o    Non-income Tax account reconciliations 
•    Review supporting documentation for international provisions of US federal income tax compliance, including Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 and other associated tax return disclosures
•    Review Forms 926, 1118, 5471, 5472, 8858, 8865, 8990, 8991, 8992, 8993 and other associated tax return disclosures prepared by external service provider
•    Review Canada and Puerto Rico income and non-income tax returns, including coordination with external service provider
•    Assist with support of U.S. international and non-U.S. tax return positions upon audit and/or other controversy measures
•    Support business development through minimization of tax on cross border acquisitions and/or dispositions 
•    Assist with documentation and support of tax policies and procedures to comply with Sarbanes Oxley
•    Assist with planning for tax efficient repatriation of foreign cash
•    Review documentation prepared for special projects or tax planning opportunities
•    Perform tax research and assist with tax planning, including memo preparation and presentation of proposals to management
•    Assist with other tasks related to Non-U.S. activities, as needed

Required Experience

•    Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with a minimum of 9 years corporate income tax with specialization in international tax within a multinational organization and/or public accounting firm for at least 5 years required
OR
•    Master’s Degree in Taxation, plus a minimum of 7 years federal corporate income tax experience with specialization in international tax for at least 3 years
•    Candidate should possess strong written and oral communication skills and proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel. 
•    CPA preferred
•    Knowledge of Oracle Applications R12 a plus
