The Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis will be responsible for managing and coordinating corporate and business related planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis activities. This position is responsible for financial assessments of operating activities, capital investments, and divestitures. This position reports to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis
Duties
- Manage and coordinate various aspects of corporate and business planning, forecasting, reporting and analysis activities.
- Design and complete effective reporting packages summarizing the analytical procedures performed to the appropriate member of the management team.
- Based on the analytical procedures performed, make recommendations for Corporate strategy and process improvement to the responsible management team member(s).
- Guide Financial Planning Analyst in all aspects of the capital reporting, analysis and approval processes. Streamline those processes while still ensuring current compliance levels.
- Responsible for ensuring that the financial transactions comply with internal control policies and practices by establishing proper controls, reviewing transactions and information processed, and conducting periodic structured and/or informal departmental audits of analysis practices and procedures.
- Identify opportunities to improve process flows related to the analytical procedures performed. Such opportunities should include the utilization of emerging technologies.
- Leads the development of models for the purpose of analyzing, forecasting and controlling financial data relating to investment alternatives and new projects, as well as divestitures. Analyzes and evaluates financial and operating implications of financial data and makes recommendations to enhance business processes and profitability.

Education Degree
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Required Experience
- 7-10 years analysis experience.
- Bachelors in Accounting, preferred.
- CPA preferred.
- MBA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting theories, practices, regulations and financial concepts relative to profitability and financial ratios.
- Strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and organization skills.
- Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple, competing tasks.
- Microsoft Office Suite, BPM, ERP System experience preferred.
- Previous project or account management work is strongly recommended.

- Skills in analyzing activities, interpreting financial/operating results and developing alternatives.
- Skills in use of financial analysis software.
- Skills in written and oral communication.
- Knowledge of windows-based operating systems environments, spreadsheet software, graphics software, word-processing software and database software.
- Knowledge of accounting theory and application of financial and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of cost management/activity analysis and forecasting.
- Knowledge of theory and application of budgeting processes.
- Knowledge of computer modeling and financial forecasting.
