Position Summary

Our team is growing! We are looking for Design Services Manager who will own development of branded print, digital and other media assets including video and photography.  In this role, you will lead the design team to include project management, process adherence, maintaining quality standards, liaison with project owners and key stakeholders, resource allocation, development of standard work and employee development.  You will also grow the team by investing in the skills and abilities of the team and individual contributors.    

Duties

DESIGNER / MANAGER

  • Creates impactful branding and design work across a variety of formats
  • Sets design and branding standards
  • Prioritizes team workload and negotiates timelines and deliverables as necessary
  • Coordinates external resources as needed

PROCESS INNOVATOR 

  • Implements new/revised design and work and processes for team members
  • Overcomes technological or other roadblocks by sourcing required toolsets or skills
  • Encourages innovative approaches and solutions
  • Monitors error rates and develops processes to mitigate reoccurrence

PEOPLE INFLUENCER 

  • Motivates and encourages design team to achieve goals and achieve higher levels of creativity
  • Provides analysis and coaching to ensure copywriting and design standards are met
  • Builds and maintains cohesive relationships to collaborate with all key stakeholders, as well as developing a network within STERIS for support and to help shape future directions

Education Degree

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Design

Required Experience

  • Minimum four (4) years in marketing communications or graphic design requied
  • Minimum three (3) years using project management technology and tools required.
  • Minimum two (2) years managerial experience required.

Skills

  • Must be organized, detail-oriented and team player
  • Must be assertive, professional and comfortable communicating with a range of business partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to change direction and accommodate new information as needed
  • Creative problem solving and strong analytical skills with the ability to multitask
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Office 360, SharePoint, Adobe Creative Suite
  • Ability to manage and train staff and, potentially, staff outside the department, on project management tools
  • Experience providing coaching and feedback that results in development of new skills and proficiencies for team
