Position Summary

Under minimal supervision, provide troubleshooting, repair maintenance, preventative maintenance and installation support for new and existing manufacturing equipment, facility equipment and devices. Apply knowledge of various trades such as electrical, mechanical, carpentry, painting, hydraulics and plumbing.


  1. Perform preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs on Injection Mold Room equipment including but not limited to: Injection mold machines, chillers, thermolators, resin delivery system, conveyors, sprue pickers, dryers.
  2. Perform screw and barrell changes.
  3. Maintain neat and orderly appearance of equipment.
  4. Replace worn of malfunctioning heater bands and thermocouples
  5. Troubleshoot injection molding equipment including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical related issues.
  6. Installation and setup of new equipment.
  7. Operates lifts, tow motors, jacks, hoists as needed.
  8. Follow all safety precautions on repairs to equipment, machinery and tools.
  9. Follow 5S, housekeeping and company policies and procedures.

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  • 3 or more years of maintenance technician experience, or similar hands on mechanical/electrical experience such as but not limited to automotive technician

Preferred Experience


  • Previous injection molding equipment experience preferred


  1. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common instructions/blueprints/schematics related to Plastic Injection Molding equipment
  2. Ability to utilize common maintenance equipment such as hand tools, power tools, and measurement tools required.
  3. Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English. 
  4. Strong analytical ability, including ability to identify root cause, required
  5. Ability to safely work with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  6. Basic computer competency is required.
  7. Ability to work individually and as a team required.
  8. Ability to braze/solder and weld is preferred.
