Logistics Coordinator

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for all freight claims as well as supporting other basic transportation requirements of the department.

This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, OH location 3 days/week. 

What You'll do as a Logistics Coordinator

• File, log, and research all freight claims, as well as process claim checks.
• Review carrier exception reports for potential claim resolution.
• Compile the daily numbers as it pertains to claims and shipments.
• Compile and post the charts for the SQDC board.
• Identify root cause and counter measures for freight claim issues.
• Document preparation as required.
• Log and maintain STERIS Delivery issues, as well as assist in identifying root causeand countermeasures.
• Categorize Monthly Delivery issue survey results.
• Obtain Proof of Deliveries at the end of STERIS’ quarter as needed.
• Manage the daily zero freight, field scrap & trade in’s reports.
• Review & Research Closed RMA Report.
• Aid with other department duties as required.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required

• High School Diploma/GED
• Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as,have competent typing capabilities
• Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to effectively and tactfullyinteract with customers and others at all levels of the organization and at outside agencies
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
