Position Summary

The Learning and Development Coordinator is responsible for supporting the planning, coordination and execution of corporate learning and development activities, including managing the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System (LMS). This role will also support the embedded training administration needs of the corporate Internal Audit/Compliance teams.

Duties

Training Coordination (Corporate L&D) -  (40%)

  • Coordinates and manages event logistics for on-site training workshops and events, including internal/external communications, materials/pre-work, travel/venue management, room coordination/set-up and food/beverage needs.    
  • Ensures the consistent and effective delivery of learning programs through the Learning Management System (LMS); Serves as the department’s subject-matter expert on the LMS.
  • Performs transactional duties/activities in the LMS for corporate L&D team, including
    • Creation of items, curricula, assignment profiles and scheduled offerings
    • Records and maintains training completions for corporate L&D offerings
    • Deploys, records and analyzes training evaluations
    • Creates and runs routine and ad-hoc custom reports, providing qualitative and quantitative completion and effectivensss analysis
  • Manages STERIS’ on-demand/self-directed learning platform.
  • Partners and communicates with external vendors.
  • Manages the internal ‘charge-back’ process to support STERIS’ cost/delivery model.
  • Supports ad hoc functional projects, teams and initiatives, as assigned.

Internal Audit/Compliance Training Coordinator -  (50%)

  • Ensured the consistent and effective delivery of Internal Audit and Compliance learning programs, including LMS deployment; Serves as the department’s subject-matter expert on the LMS.
  • Provides consultation and guidance to department team members on the assignment, completion and recording/tracking of functional training.
  • Performs transactional duties/activities in the LMS for the team, including
    • Creation of items, curricula, assignment profiles and scheduled offerings
    • Records and maintains training completions for functional staff
    • Creates and runs routine and ad-hoc custom reports, providing qualitative and quantitative completion and effectivensss analysis
  • Investigates, identifies and recommends effective, innovative and flexible solutions for training assignment, deployment and tracking.
  • Supports tracking of training completion for Compliance training requirements. Ensures integrity of training completion data.

Talent Development Support -  (10%)

  • Supports accounts payables (AP) activities, including creating new vendors and processing departmental invoices.
  • Assists with departmental reporting and analysis.
  • Creates departmental presentations, materials and resources as needed.
  • Supports ad hoc functional projects, teams and initiatives, as assigned.  

Education Degree

Bachelor's Degree in Business or Human Resources

Required Experience

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field required.
  2. Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  3. Learning Management System (LMS) experience preferred.
  4. Strong technical (computer/web-based systems) skills and proficiency. Ability to learn new software platforms quickly.
  5. Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including strong Excel proficiency.
  6. Ability to simultaneously manage a wide variety of tasks and priorities in a self-directed manner.
  7. Strong organizational, program and project management skills required to manage departmental programs, projects and budgets.
  8. Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills to assess and continuously improve process, practices and tools in areas of responsibility. 
  9. Strong attention to detail and work is of a high degree of accuracy.  
  10. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, including ability to effectively work and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  11. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members, HR colleagues, stakeholders and external vendors and partners.
  12. Comfortable with complexity, ambiguity and change. Strong demonstrated learning agility.
