As an Internal Audit Intern, you will develop financial and operational analytics of key financial processes at corporate and remote STERIS locations. Your work will identify and address risks that matter to the organization. Key Internship Information:
•    Paid Internship
•    Part Time or full-time opportunity based on your availability, with a minimum of 20 hours per week if part-time, or 40 hours per week if full-time.
•    Location - This will be a blended onsite and work from home opportunity.

Duties

Under the guidance and supervision of experienced STERIS Internal Auditors and Data Analysts, duties and responsibilities include:
•    Assist the Internal Audit department in development of financial and operational analytics.  
•    Observe and reperform inventory counts at STERIS locations
•    Interface with STERIS management to follow up on questions arising from audit testing
•    Analyze audit evidence and prepare conclusions through analytics for review by Internal Audit management
•    Address reviewer comments and questions arising from workpaper review

•    Currently enrolled in a four-year undergraduate degree program or a master’s program in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Internal Audit, Information Technology or other quantitative fields of study and completed sophomore year
•    Minimum of 20 hours/week availability 
•    Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
•    Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word
•    Experience with relational databases and datasets – preferred
•    Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Microsoft Power BI – preferred
•    Leadership experience in extra-curricular activities – preferred
•    Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO, US GAAP, and their applicability in an audit environment – preferred
•    Commitment to integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality
•    Strong attention to detail

 Pay range for this opportunity is $0.00 - $0.00. This position is eligible for [BONUS PARTICIPATION] OR a [INSERT COMMISSION RATE RANGE, IF APPLICABLE] commission.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
