Position Summary

Assures high quality incoming, in process and final inspection services are provided on a timely basis in support of other departmental needs. Performs visual and dimensional part inspections according to print and specification requirements. Results of the inspections are documented clearly and accurately according to the Company standards.


  1. Perform inspections for incoming, in process and completed products or material as required including:
    1. Visual inspections of surface defects, finish, and process related defects.
    2. Dimensional inspection with gages including calipers, micrometer, height stand, Protractors, CMM.
  2. Understand prints (including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances) and choose the correct gage accordingly.
  3. Perform calibrations/verifications on inspection equipment to ensure equipment is maintained in good operating condition.
  4. Work with others to resolve manufacturing problems and improve quality.
  5. Complete non-conformance reports for any rejected material and forward to the material review board.
  6. Perform failure investigations as assigned
  7. Other duties as assigned

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED in General Studies

Required Experience

Work experience requirements:

  1. Visual and Dimensional inspection experience. (3 years) 
  2. Experience with cGMP / ISO compliance. (1 year)
  3. Fluent with Microsoft Word and Excel. (3 years)
  4. Working knowledge of computer and various software (3 years)

Skills Required

  1. Ability to read and comprehend gauges results (i.e., micrometer, depth gauge, and calipers). 
  2. Must be able to read and understand engineering documents (blue prints). 
  3. Must be a team player; demonstrate a teamwork approach while performing work assignments.
  4. Ability to effectively interact with other departments.
  5. Must have excellent interpersonal skills with proven ability to resolve conflict in a non-confrontational way.
  6. Good organizational and time management.
  7. Good written and oral communication skills.
  8. Strong math, reading, writing, and verbal communication skills. 
  9. Willingness to work overtime when required.
