Position Summary

The Inside Sales Intern provides support to the Inside Sales Team. STERIS Inside Sales Representatives are responsible for promoting STERIS Products, providing solutions and building relationships with Customers within a defined territory or region via phone or email.     

The Inside Sales Intern can expect to gain an understanding of sales techniques, Customer Support, territory management and sales metrics/KPIs. They will also learn the impact of the Inside Sales Team and their contribution to the overall sales goals and contribution to the bottom line.

  • Support ISRs in quote preparation.
  • Review and distribute web leads, follow up on web leads as assigned.
  • Review and distribute tradeshow leads, follow up on tradeshow leads as assigned.
  • Conduct analytics on prospecting.
  • Work toward basic oversight of open territories during summer vacations.
  • Supports the Inside Sales Manager on special projects.
Education Degree
  • High School Diploma or GED
Required Experience
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Marketing, Communications or related field.
  • Familiarity with MSOffice Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Familiarity with Outlook
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong organizational skills and detailed oriented
  • Strong People Skills and Team oriented
