Position Summary

As an IT Project Manager you will be an integral part of the Information Technology Project Management Office and will assist in driving standardized project management methodologies, governance, methods, and tools in managing key business initiatives including a Salesforce implementation initiative. You will provide project leadership and direction through the use of project management methodologies to ensure timely and successful completion of critical business initiatives.  You will also be responsible for all delivery stages within IT projects, from proposal and requirements definition to project planning and implementation along with project cost and budget management.

*This is a hybrid role with the requirement of working onsite at our Mentor, Ohio Corporate HQ.
 

What You'll Do as a Project Manager

  • Manage projects through the various lifecycle stages from business need through design and delivery
  • Support project-charting process and setup
  • Plan, schedule and track projects, with related cost estimation and scope control responsibilities
  • Manage project priorities, scope, budgets, timelines and expectations
  • Coordinate intradepartmental projects and resources
  • Manage multiple parallel projects using formal IT project management methodologies
  • Maintain IT project controls that accurately reflect completed work against project plans, schedules and budgets, and ensure user/management involvement at appropriate milestones
  • Responsible for recommending staffing plans and skill sets on a per project basis
  • Review and assess vendor solutions and proposals
  • Continually identify, prioritize and mitigate project risks
  • Lead design and review sessions with project teams, business partners and Information Technology staff
  • Track short-term project metrics (for example, schedule variances and customer satisfaction).
  • Monitor and manage project expenditures  
  • Provide management with regular communication on the progress of projects and other initiatives
  • Provide oversight and control of any external resources contracted to the project
  • Review the project's medium-term benefits (for example, to support business-case process improvement)
  • Monitor workload of staff to ensure team members are consistently managed and challenged

The Experience, Skills and Abilities Needed

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Certification as a Project Manager Professional (PMP)
  • 5+ years leading enterprise IT projects
  • 5 + years Software development life cycle experience
  • 5+ years’ experience gathering requirements to the necessary level for planning and scheduling purposes
  • Experience with project scheduling, including via automated tools, and can analyze progress and trade-offs
  • Experience implementing project change process, as appropriate for scope control and change processes
  • Knowledge of project risk assessment, monitoring and mitigation planning
  • Team leadership skills sufficient to facilitate conflict and issue resolution
  • Candidates must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of our headquarters in Mentor, Ohio. Preference will be given to applicants currently living in Northeast Ohio.

  • ITIL experience
  • FDA Validation experience
  • Agile Methodology experience
  • Waterfall Methodology experience
  • Salesforce implementation experience
  • CRM experience

Skills

Pay range for this opportunity is $105,400.00 - $125,000. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
