Position Summary

The HRIS Administrator will serve as the primary administrator for the assigned SuccessFactors modules, which may include Recruiting, Onboarding, Employee Central, Time, Performance and Goals, Succession, Development, Learning, and other Talent Management functionality (Competencies, Job Profile Builder).  The overall goal is to ensure the system is fully optimized to address business needs and returns value to the organization.  


As the module(s) technical owner, you will partner with the HR leadership team, CHRO, and functional HR leaders to uncover business needs, design system solutions to support objectives, and to ensure an excellent user experience with the technology.  Responsibilities will also include enabling users to fully adopt the system and collaborating with the broader HR Systems team on projects that support the overall SuccessFactors roadmap at STERIS.   

What You Will Do

  • System Administration and Training
    • Troubleshoot and resolve all support tickets and questions from end users, escalating to vendor as needed
    • Manage vendor releases and upgrades for assigned modules
    • Train users and continually audit for and address process gaps and compliance adherence 
  • System Enhancements
    • Partner with Business Process Owners (BPOs) to identify, track, and prioritize system process improvements 
    • Gather detailed business requirements, develop proof of concept, and present to change committee for review and approval
    • Create testing plan and work to sprint through the software lifecycle process
    • Update configuration workbooks and facilitate any communications or training needed for system changes 
  • Project Management
    • Manage small and medium projects, including leading cross-functional teams to drive changes or processes to completion.  May lead large and/or complex projects, or act as a key player on such projects, such as new implementations.
  • Reporting and Analytics
    • Create and maintain relevant reporting for assigned modules using in-suite reporting tools 
    • Support ad-hoc report requests from HR partners and leadership
    • Analyze data to provide key insights to inform HR processes and objectives

What You Need to be Successful

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with cloud based HR Systems and at least 2 years of SuccessFactors system administration experience.  
  • Experience must include new implementation, cloud system/module configuration, creating test plans and conducting system testing, business process design, reporting, and technical troubleshooting of one or more HR systems.
  • A grasp of the HR Service delivery & current technology landscape related to the assigned module (LMS, Recruiting, Performance Management, Compensation, etc).
  • Experience managing projects using a standard methodology/approach.  
  • Previous experience with employee data or HRIS analysis.
  • SuccessFactors certification in relevant module.
