Position Summary

The HR Manager will work with a close-knit HR and leadership team to support our Global Service-Equipment Service Division for STERIS’s Healthcare Commercial Operations team.  This includes effective business partnerships with 6 AVP’s, and their respective leadership teams.  This 1000+ employee population is spread throughout the United States providing service to hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers.

Duties

  • Assume full employee lifecycle HR leadership support for Equipment Service organization § Serve as a HR partner to assigned business lines, supporting leaders through talent management, reporting/analytics, and championing HR initiatives; identify opportunities and positively influence leadership approaches. 
  • Act as organization design leader for assigned business lines to ensure organizational structure, roles and objectives meet current and future business challenges
  • Advise leadership on all Human Resources issues and initiatives impacting the Company’s business goals and objectives, including aligning HR strategy and objectives with business line strategy and requirements 
  • Drive performance management and engagement initiatives, including training members of the leadership team across the business
  • Provide HR expertise and data insights to HR and business leadership to drive effective decision making and consistency where needed, while identifying unique business needs and recommendations.  This includes partnering closely with Global Service HRBP’s to proactively identify gaps, opportunities and risks to Global Service and business line objectives.
  • Act as coach to managers on employee performance, employee relations issues, and other people management programs, and escalate significant opportunities and risks related to leader maturity and effectiveness

  • In conjunction with corporate leadership, develop communication and change initiatives to align employees with the business goals and objectives and to address employee concerns
  • Develop and manages talent acquisition/retention programs and workforce planning initiatives; facilitate the business unit succession planning processes
  • In conjunction with Corporate HR resources, ensure compensation and benefits programs are in place and managed to support established goals and objectives; lead the development of organizational assessment initiatives to ensure effective structure and processes are in place.   
  • Provide leadership and guidance to ensure performance metrics and performance guidance processes are in place; provide support to the management team for developing talent management strategy around talent assessment, succession planning, coaching, and development
  • Ensure compliance with all employment laws/regulations

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree; additional HR certifications preferred
  • 5-7 years experience working as an HR Business Partner with demonstrated success in all generalist areas of HR support, including talent acquisition, performance, talent management, compensation, HR systems, processes and procedures, succession planning, employee development and training, and employee relations
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner with a history of working with front line leaders up to and including the VP level
  • Demonstrated leadership development and coaching skills, including history of influencing positive behavioral change
  • Demonstrated ability to invest effort, find success, work independently, and work in high-performing/highly paced teams
  • Ability to provide HR support, proactive partner with HR leaders, build innovative ideas, and passionately take care of STERIS employees and managers
  • Deep knowledge of talent acquisition/retention, HR data analysis, and leader development experience strongly preferred
