Look no further! We’re seeking an exceptional HR Director to lead our dynamic HR team for manufacturing operations based in our Mentor, Ohio office. 

Role will require travel to sites in US, Canada and Mexico.  

 

As our HR Director, you’ll wear many hats and play a pivotal role in our success story. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement human resources strategies aligned with our business goals.
Collaborate with business departments to ensure effective HR practices across the organization.


Talent Acquisition and Staffing:
Lead our HR team in acquiring top-notch candidates who exceed business requirements.
Optimize recruitment processes, ensuring quality, retention, and timely hires.
Empower hiring managers with tools and training for effective candidate assessment.


Training and Development:
Prioritize training needs, especially for our plant leadership.
Create a comprehensive training strategy that fuels employee growth.
Partner with our corporate training department to deliver impactful sessions.


Talent Management:
Assess current employees’ performance and define future needs.
Craft meaningful developmental plans for our high-potential team members.


Performance Excellence:
Coach and guide managers in implementing effective performance management systems.
Encourage top performers and address performance gaps.
Collaborate with managers to identify skill development opportunities.


Organizational Design and Compensation:
Contribute to organizational design decisions that enhance efficiency.
Stay informed about market trends to ensure competitive compensation packages.


Employee Relations and Communication:
Foster open communication channels within our organization.
Mediate and provide solutions for employee relations matters.

 

 

Required Experience

1.    Bachelor's Degree in HR or Related field.
2.    A minimum of 12 years’ experience in a Human Resources Management role providing direct support senior leaders in a manufacturing/operations environment. 
3.    Multi-site HR experience required and familiarity working with a dispersed organization.
4.    Labor relations and union negotiations experience strongly preferred.
5.    HR experience with Canada and Mexico locations, strongly preferred.
6.    Strong HR leadership and technical skills, with demonstrated business partnership experience in supporting integrations, growth, and business development. 
7.    Experience with process improvement approaches (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Practical Process Improvement, etc.)

1.    A track record of positive results and enhancing or driving cultural change.
2.    He/she should be someone who is sought out for their opinion and advice and who can forge and maintain close relationships across all constituencies.
3.    Self-motivated; bias for action.
4.    Effective negotiating and influencing skills.
5.    Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
6.    Strong analytical skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 
7.    Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
8.    Excellent multi-tasking, priority setting capabilities.
 

 Pay range for this opportunity is $114,500.00 - $171,675.00. This position is eligible for BONUS PARTICIPATION

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Full-Time Employees are also eligible for short-term disability.  Full-time Employees will also receive Paid Time Off (PTO) based on years of service and paid Holidays. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week. Full-Time employees are eligible for four weeks of paid parental leave. Part-time employees also receive paid parental leave, pro-rated based on their standard hourly work week.
