Position Summary

The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting the Senior Manager, Accounting Policy and Controls in all SOX and compliance initiatives; all US GAAP, IFRS and technical accounting and reporting projects; all acquisition, divestiture, and integration related activities; as well as gathering various financial and operational data, performing analysis and reporting the results. The Financial Analyst will leverage corporate financial policies, procedures, and modeling tools to reconcile, balance and report on various financial positions.  The Financial Analyst will assist  general accounting and intercompany accounting to ensure activity is analyzed and recorded accordingly. Additionally, this position requires participation in the monthly accounting close process and the internal and external financial reporting process.  The Financial Analyst will establish and maintain strong business relationships within the Corporate and Global Finance Departments.

What You Will Do
  • Assist with all SOX program initiatives, accounting and reporting research, and acquisition/divestiture activity as directed by Senior Manager, Accounting Policy and Controls.
  • Interpret, apply and monitor the internal control policies, procedures, and practices of the Company as guided by Senior Manager, Accounting Policy and Controls, to assure compliance with corporate policy, SOX controls, accounting and reporting guidance. 
  • Assist in the month, quarter and year-end financial close, internal and external reporting processes by creating and submitting various journal entries and developing reporting templates and analysis. 
  • Gathers and provides backup documentation to management and business units for requested financial information.
  • Develop financial templates, models and analysis tools in Excel, Khalix and Cognos (standard financial reporting tools).
  • Provides information to management by assembling and summarizing data; preparing reports; making presentations of findings, analyses, and recommendations.
What You Need to be Successful
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 2 years of financial accounting, analysis and reporting experience required.
  • Minimum of two years of experience applying knowledge of accounting and reporting guidance; or SOX compliance; or acquisition/divestiture operational processes.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel (macros, pivot tables). Word and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated intermediate level experience in the use of business reporting and financial systems such as Oracle, Informatica, Excel, etc.
  • Previous experience with financial analysis preferred.
  • Process oriented with strong attention to detail and organized.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
