What you will do:

We are currently looking for an Engineer, to join our Service Engineering team, at our headquarters in Mentor, OH. This engineer will primarily be responsible for: serviceability and reliability assessments, service documentation development and maintenance, high-level troubleshooting and technical support on a focused product line, and new product development, sustaining, and manufacturing project support.
 

In addition, this individual will:
•    Act as a liaison between service representatives in the field and our internal partners to resolve current issues and avoid potential problems on future products. 
•    Follow appropriate complaint handling procedures, review quality data and key performance indicators relating to their focused product line and drive corrective action when required. 
•    Resolve escalated internal and external customer technical support issues on all STERIS brand Healthcare products and complete all necessary steps to ensure correct information is provided and technical issue is resolved.

What you need to be successful:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Biomedical), IT, or related technical field required.
•    6+ years’ experience in a service engineering, sustaining engineering, development engineering, or quality engineering role is required.
•    Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics is required. 
•    Demonstrated mechanical, electrical, IT, AV, and computer troubleshooting skills. 
•    Skilled in effectively resolving and communicating technical issues via telephone. 
•    Experience in the medical device or other highly regulated industry is strongly preferred.
•    Excellent organization, oral and written communications skills. 
•    Ability to work flexible hours (at times outside “normal business hours”) and travel as required.
•    Familiarization with Microsoft applications and tools is required (i.e. Flow, Power Apps, Teams, Office).
•    Experience leading and managing projects is strongly preferred.
•    Exposure to and/or fluency in Spanish and French languages are a plus.
