Position Summary
The Electrical Engineer II will serve as an electrical test engineer within the product development team in R&D. This position is primarily responsible for designing, developing, and implementing automated test systems to support new product development and production. The Electrical Engineer II ensures the reliability, accuracy, and compliance of electrical testing processes for PCB assemblies, control systems, wiring harnesses, and integrated electrical systems. This role plays a key part in maintaining high standards for electrical testing throughout the organization.
What You'll Do as an Electrical Engineer
- Design and implement automated test programs, fixtures, systems, and scripts for NPD and production environments.
- Qualify test stations using GRR, SPC, and other statistical analysis tools to ensure accuracy and repeatability.
- Define requirements and concepts for test systems, select and evaluate components, create schematics, verify designs, and maintain comprehensive tester documentation including test plans, reports, and work instructions.
- Create and maintain test documentation, including test plans, reports, and work instructions.
- Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to diagnose test failures, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Optimize test processes to reduce cycle time, minimize false failures, and lower cost per test.
- Analyze test data, monitor trends, and provide actionable insights to design and quality teams for ongoing product and process improvements.
- Ensure all test systems and processes comply with industry standards (IPC, UL, IEC) and meet regulatory requirements.
The Experience, Abilities and Skills Needed
- Bachelor of Electrical/Electronic Engineering degree (EE/EET) (ABET accredited college/university is preferred
- 3+ years of related electrical engineering experience
- Proficiency with electrical engineering tools (Excel, Visio/AutoCAD/EPLAN, Altium/OrCad, SPICE).
- Experience with basic lab instruments (DMM, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, spectrum analyzer).
- Experience with National Instruments hardware
- Working knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and test design.
- Familiarity with automated test systems and programming (TestStand, LabVIEW, Python, C/C++).
- Understanding of statistical analysis tools (SPC, GRR).
- Knowledge of electromechanical device control (motors, solenoids, heaters).
- Understanding of sensor technologies and machine communication protocols.
- Experience with LEAN or Six Sigma methodology is a plus

Pay range for this opportunity is $69,000.00 - $92,000.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.
Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
