Position Summary

The Distributor Operations Analyst is responsible for analytical and operations support for the NACO Distributor sales channel and sales tracing/rebate operations for all NACO business units. This role develops   reporting tools to support objectives as well as to identify opportunities for improvement of distributor related processes, opportunities to improve profitability, and provide insight and business recommendations based on experience with STERIS systems and data analysis.  Analyst must have a working knowledge of distribution agreements, incentive programs, and distributor scorecards.  This involves extensive and ongoing collaboration with all corporate functions including Healthcare and Life Sciences Customer Operations, Sales, Marketing, Corporate and Strategic Accounts, Compensation, Information Technology, Finance, and Legal.
 

This position is a hybrid schedule after training. The team meets in the office in Mentor OH 2 days per week. 

Duties

  • Manage sales tracing and rebate functions for portfolio of Distributors, ensuring monthly deadlines are met.
  • Implement systems to review root causes of distributor rebate discrepancies, provide consistent reporting of causes, and develop strategy to resolve root causes and reduce rebate discrepancies and the resulting open rebate balances.
  • Provide detailed and accurate reporting to management on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to support business objectives.  Ensure consistent, reliable, quality delivery of all standard reporting deliverables.
  • Supports the continuous improvement initiatives within the function, including standard work and the root-cause-countermeasure process in support of key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Works within the department’s Lean tracking tools and provides data as needed for monthly documentation of performance against agreed-upon KPIs.
  • Participates in Kaizen events when appropriate and supports the action plans that result from those events.
  • Propose modifications to processes and systems to gain efficiencies.  Own the change process from start to finish, including submission of system change request, all testing, and re-training of redistribution analysts.  Attend all monthly SCR meetings and provide updates.
  • Maintains technical knowledge of RPA/AI and EDI to allow problem solving as well as authoring of process design documents and technical design documents.
  • Provides analysis and troubleshoots when EDI and/or RPA does not meet requirements.
  • Attends industry events and monitors industry trends; participate as SME in industry workgroups when opportunities are available.
  • Proposes process/system changes to improve services or to meet the evolving needs of the industry.
  • Provide support to field sales organization as it relates to indirect sales inquiries.
  • Review and maintain product offering on distributor price list and distributor incentive programs.  Ensure product mix meets business needs.  Complete monthly and quarterly incentive reports and payments.
  • Complete business review packet for distributors as needed.  This includes providing an updated distributor profile with analysis of year over year sales and product mix. 
  • Audit distributor compliance with terms of distribution agreement including payment performance, purchases vs. reporting sales.  Provide recommendations for resolution.
  • Lead training of Distributor Operations  team as well as training other departments on processes as needed and maintain work instructions.
  • Reviews direct and indirect consumable sales for high quantity purchases or other unusual buying patterns to identify risk of STERIS product entering alternate supply channels. Escalates situations involving suspected diverter to NACO leadership, communicating the situation and proposed resolution.
  • Develop reports and processes to monitor all aspects of the sales tracing and rebates  functions.
  • Maintain a current knowledge of distribution and contract issues and trends.
  • Coordinate and participate in special projects.

The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

  • Associate degree required.
  • 2 years’ experience in Customer Service role, analytical, or contract administration role.
  • Strong quantitative skills, with advanced proficiency in Excel required.

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor degree preferred.
  • At least one year STERIS experience preferred.

Pay range for this opportunity is $50,150.00 - $64,900.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
