Position Summary

The Director of Service Marketing leads the Service Marketing team and works closely with senior leaders, BU and field-based teams to drive new product development/solutions, monitor business plans, and oversee its overall success. This includes developing and driving the marketing strategy that will deliver Service top line revenue.  Leading market research to identify new market opportunity, identifying Customer needs, conducting requirements analysis and pricing, positioning products to drive competitive advantage, developing new services and revenue streams, and developing marketing messaging, content, and plans to drive demand and sales will all be required. This role is also responsible for communicating Customer feedback to internal team to enable product enhancement and continuous improvements.  The ideal candidate has a proven track record of delivering against revenue targets through sales enablement activities, articulating compelling and differentiated product messaging, and executing flawless go-to-market strategies and product/services/solutions launches.


  • Direct leadership and development of the Service marketing team.
  • Develops a deep understanding of our markets and buyers by leveraging insight from internal and external sources to inform strategies
  • Analyzes product, customer, and market data to identify and define new product opportunities, extensions and enhancements to existing products, and applications of technology to new markets.
  • Identifies collaborative opportunities from other business areas and ensure full value analysis is completed for new Service/market opportunities. 
  • Develops the business case for proposed products and initiatives, including cost/benefit estimates, market trends, competitive analysis, risk analysis, industry best practices and rollout timelines. Develops, gains approval, and communicates the marketing plan coinciding with the annual budgeting process.
  • Works with functional units of the organization and capital business units in the development and preparation of strategic and operational/technical plans. Drives collaborative efforts to ensure well-designed and holistic solutions are launched to drive the best Customer experience.

  • Develops commercialization and product launch plans, and coordinates all organizational areas through the successful development, launch, and lifecycle management of product initiatives.
  • Ensures a successful and integrated product launch for products, and post-launch obligation of ensuring growth in the market; and that the product is constantly moving from awareness to adoption in new market segments, and conducts value-based pricing, product strategy and analysis. Monitors and reports on progress against plan (gross margin, market share, distribution, quality, etc.) and adjusts strategy and/or tactics as necessary to drive desired results.
  • Maximizes profitability of service lines by monitoring volume, spending, and market share and determines the most profitable course for each existing and new products/solutions within target markets and market segments.
  • Creates communications that clearly articulate product features, benefits, and value propositions. Develops product messaging that differentiates new products and services from others in the market. Ensures there are sales enablement activities, including creation of sales tools, communication, and training.
  • Collaborates with the commercial sales organization and e-commerce teams to ensure optimized usage of all channels to sell Service.
  • Lead the development of a lean culture and practices within the Service marketing team.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related science.  MBA in Marketing and/or Management preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive business experience with three years in healthcare markets or service.  Prior experience in product or sales management preferred. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of marketing segmentation, strategy, planning and execution of marketing activities across a variety of channels.
  • Experience with researching and synthesizing large amounts of information to provide competitive and market insights.
  • Demonstrated project management skills and ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional communication skills; written, verbal and presentation.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to influence others.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationship with widely diverse groups, including individual at all levels both within and outside the organization and gain their cooperation.
  • Demonstrated ability lead and influence a cross functional team and operate in a highly complex environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to accept and facilitate change, whether indicated by corporate needs, market or regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
