You will assist with development of Corporate Continuous Improvement strategies and carry out Continuous Improvement transformation and strategy deployment within business area. Based on Corporate Continuous Improvement strategies, develop Continuous Improvement strategy applicable to the business to enable execution. Influence and coach senior management and their teams on Continuous Improvement transformation, cultural change, engagement, Continuous Improvement adoption and empowerment with a passionate approach to results. Drive results through the use of common metrics and data in various areas of the organization including those with environments of ambiguity. What You Will Do

 

  • Organize senior management CI/Continuous Improvement steering committee and activities to set direction for Continuous Improvement/CI and provide guidance. Ensures that all local steering committees are supported and operate effectively.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to facilitate and lead cultural and strategic changes across functional departmental boundaries within designated business area.
  • Advise and counsel leadership by providing strategic direction in prioritizing CI opportunities and ensuring that CI initiatives align with the business strategy.
  • Develop and implement a team-based learning work environment along with the appropriate structure.
  • Create and implement Continuous Improvement transformation plans across the organization based on Corporate Continuous Improvement strategy, and local business strategy and directly manage Continuous Improvement/CI initiatives and programs.
  • Drive Continuous Improvement/CI implementation to achieve cost reductions, cycle time improvements, and quality improvements through effective Continuous Improvement/CI management, benchmarking, Key Performance Indicator development, and scorecard for various functions within the organization.
  • Develop continuous improvement roles at the facility level to sustain the Continuous Improvement transformation.
  • Assesses, coaches, and provides constructive feedback to teams to strengthen Continuous Improvement competencies within the enterprise.
  • Implement methods to identify Continuous Improvement/CI opportunities within the organization through the use of key metrics, analysis, accountability, and standardization.
  • Provides advice and consultation as a CI/Continuous Improvement subject matter expert on best practices, significant projects, and/or special CI/Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Prepares budgets, schedules, and other financial reports for successful strategy deployment.
  • Hires, trains, develops, coaches, and provides team member guidance and supervision in the event of having direct report(s).
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge through benchmarking world-class Continuous Improvement organizations and personal CI/Continuous Improvement related training.
     

 

What You Need To Be Successful

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Management, Data Analysis, or Related Technical Field)
  • 15+ years of demonstrated qualified Continuous Improvement experience in a leadership role.
  • One successful enterprise Continuous Improvement transformation required with experience in deploying Continuous Improvement culture in an organization.
  • 8+ years’ experience leading and managing a Continuous Improvement/CI team.
  • Demonstrated impact that translates to clear, bottom line performance results with step-function change with ability to produce $1 million in cost savings.
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of problem-solving techniques. Proficiency in analyzing business needs, determining appropriate solutions and/or opportunities, and deploying them.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence, communicate, motivate, instill confidence, and persuade in difficult or complex situations.
  • Demonstrated impact using Continuous Improvement tools:  Toyota Productions System and methodologies such as: A3 Development and Management, Process Flow Mapping, 5S/Visual Factory, TPM, QCO-SMED, Standard Work, Process Problem Solving, Built In Quality, Just In Time, Kaizen/Continuous Improvement, Chuka-chuka lines, karikuri devices. 
  • Continuous Improvement certification from a recognized independent technical organization. Bronze certification from AME/SME or the ability to certify within 6 months in role.
  • Preferred experience with Shingijutsu consultants and mentoring by a recognized competent Continuous Improvement consultancy.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement leadership in large functional areas i.e., Field Service, R&D, Plant Operations, Administrative Operations, etc.
  • Experience delivering training, coaching, and developing all levels: executive to hourly employees.
  • Superior and demonstrated leadership, team building, communication, presentation, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to lead and develop team members.
     

Remote based role. 50%+ travel.

 Pay range for this opportunity is [[$124,000.00]] - [[$163,000]].This position is eligible for bonus participation. 

 

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.

Employees are covered by an employee assistance program (also available to household members) and long-term disability. Part-time employees working 20 or more hours receive a pro-ration of the full-time PTO allocation and paid Holidays based on their standard hourly work week.
