Position Summary

The Data Governance Architect is a seminal and Influential role to craft and develop Data Governance capability
in STERIS to world-class levels. There is strong growth opportunity as the Data and Analytics Governance
organization develops. This person will empower STERIS' digital transformation to make the company more datadriven
in its decision making. This is a challenging and rewarding position as it involves design for challenging
Mergers and Acquisitions and Divestiture environment. There is vital, formative capability for Data and Analytics
Center of Excellence. There is an opportunity to work with a variety of Data types including Big Data and IoT.

What You Will Do

You will develop the roadmap, policies and procedures to ensure consistency in how data is sourced and used
across STERIS to ensure data quality and integrity. Additionally, the Data Architect will identify map, document
and increase visibility of enterprise data for Reporting, Analytics and Data Science solutions using STERIS data
architecture guidelines. This person will work with STERIS business stakeholders to develop, implement, maintain
and propagate STERIS-wide data management policies, standards and guidelines related to data assets. There
will also be an element of Master Data Management responsibilities in which you will partner with business
stakeholders to develop a Master Data Management program and develop a technology implementation plan for
key data elements across applications and databases.

What You Need to be Successful
  • Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.
  • You will have  7 or more years of IT and/or Data Governance experience including: Data Quality, Reference Data, Master, Data, Metadata, Practices, Catalog, Classification and Glossary development
  • 3 or more years of experience with data modeling & data architecture.
  • 2 or more years of experience with a commercial ERP environment; Oracle preferred.
  • 3 or more years of experience with Master Data Management.
  • 1 or more years of experience in with Cloud based Data Lakes, Structured and unstructured data, software development
