The Role
This role will provide guidance, insight and leadership throughout negotiation, purchase order review and contract management of US Project RFPs as well as Strategic Account RFPs & Contracts with the objective of driving profitable sales growth.
The Contract Proposal Analyst will support the US RFP & Bid team as well as Strategic Account team. The Contract Proposal Analyst will conduct pre-bid, post-bid, RFP and contract reviews with associated red-lining. The Analyst will drive contract negotiations with Customers, negotiating mutually agreeable terms and conditions. The Analyst will work closely with Sales, Service, Sales Leadership and Legal to meet strict, customer dictated deadlines for US Healthcare opportunities.

This role will serve as a key contract resource to customers, field personnel, and strategic sales leadership. Additionally, this role will ensure all customer requirements are met within the STERIS Corporate profitability objectives. The Analyst will
- Serve as a subject matter expert for legal terms & conditions
- Instruct business rules, partnering with business process owners to ensure that STERIS can execute.
- Ensure accurate and timely responses for Business & Legal aspects for Project RFP’s and Strategic Accounts RFPs & associated contracts.
What You Will Do
- Develops, plans, and schedules proposals.
- Compiles cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications.
- Coordinates the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments.
- Researches and analyzes historical data and develops cost models to support proposal efforts.
- Coordinates activities and participates in fact-finding meetings.
- Participates in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives.
- Participates as a member of the contract negotiation team.
- Participates in special projects and other duties as assigned by manager.
What You Need To Be Successful
- Juris Doctorate required.
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience; demonstrated experience in corporate contract negotiations.
- Deep understanding of corporate liabilities.
- Experience in corporate contract negotiations with external Customers or equivalent environment.
- Excellent contract negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem solving/troubleshooting solving skills.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills, accuracy and attention to detail is essential.
- Must have the ability to multitask and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Must be organized to handle many jobs in various phases of completion.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, in a fast-paced environment; must be a self-starter able to work well under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Excellent computer experience (including database management).
- Ability to manipulate the internet for opportunities.
