Position Summary

Leads the implementation of lean principles throughout the organization. Works with management, customers, suppliers, and others to identify and facilitate key projects that will improve quality, reduce costs, improve cycle time, and provide the optimum benefits to customers and the business through waste reduction. Trains production teams in lean manufacturing initiatives such as Kanban, Value Stream Mapping, Takt Time Analysis, and Kaizen. Manages project activities including communication, project timeline, meeting facilitation, data gathering, data processing utilizing lean tools, and solution implementation and follow-up.

  • Hands on execution of Lean transformation projects.
  • Drives site or function adoption of Lean and other performance improvement methodologies.
  • Delivers Problem Solving and Lean Manufacturing training.
  • Assesses manufacturing work flows and management systems.
  • Facilitates Kaizen events.
  • Plans, re-designs and organizes manufacturing facilities and production cells.
  • Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
  • Technical expert in Lean tools and principles including set-up reduction, standardized work, value stream mapping, A3 thinking.
  • Performs cost/benefit analyses.
Education Degree
    Required Experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline (Electrical Engineer, Process Engineer, Mechanical Engineering).
    • Requires 3+ years working in a Manufacturing and/or Assembly environment.
    • Experience in a Continuous Improvement  capacity with lean principle applications.
    • Lean certification from a recognized independent technical body preferred.
