Position Summary

As an Associate Product Manager at US Endoscopy, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the overall strategy for an assigned product category to achieve a global financial plan and strategic goals. In this position, you will be responsible for managing the upstream and downstream marketing initiatives for your product category and procedural area. With guidance and direction from your manager, success in this position will be achieved through effective implementation in the following areas:

Marketing Strategy for Procedural & Product Planning

  • Conduct ongoing market research and competitive analysis to build knowledge of markets, procedures, customers, and products.
  • Collaborate with direct manager, global sales team and commercial management on the development and implementation of strategic & tactical plans to ensure profitability and growth for all assigned products/procedural areas.
  • Provide ongoing analysis of pricing trends, cost position, and demand forecasting within assigned product categories for financial planning with oversight by direct manager.
  • Provide product line and market updates to key internal stakeholders.


Sales Execution Support & Program Management

  • Work closely with direct manager and marketing team to increase product adoption and utilization through the development of sales collateral, tools and programs.
  • With the support of direct manager collaboratively identify issues, opportunities and associated strategies within assigned procedural areas through frequent conversations and interactions with customers and global sales team.
  • Begin establishing a general understanding of the competitive market place and communicate product and competitive updates to global sales team as needed.
  • With the assistance of direct manager and Global Sales Trainer, create the content and tools needed for sales education. Present at training courses and provide in-field support to sales team for assigned product lines.
  • Active engagement in sales meetings, national & regional conferences and events
  • Commit to field travel (up to 25%, primarily US).

Market Research & New Product Development (NPD)

  • Gain an understanding of customer experience with products and procedural category through voice of customer (VOC) research.
  • Build knowledge of industry publications and practices to ensure understanding of industry guidelines applicable to assigned product category.
  • Support the development of business plans to evaluate market opportunity and strategic fit for new product concepts.
  • With guidance from your direct manager, support cross-functional teams with VOC supporting recommendations based on qualitative and quantitative research throughout all phases of the stage gate process for active NPD projects.
  • Using Clinical support and direct manager as mentors, support cross-functional teams with market research, customer requirements, product testing, risk analysis, and customer evaluation requirements.
  • Participate in planning and preparation for new product launches including supporting the development of global marketing plans, financial projections, pricing guidelines, sales collateral, and product training to successfully commercialize new products.

Leadership & Team Building

  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency for executing strategic plans and achieving global revenue goals.
  • Begin establishing the ability to win mind share with internal cross-functional team members through collaborative approach to identifying solutions based on data, building excitement, and consensus specific to assigned product/procedural area to drive projects forward.
  • Begin the process of identifying Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Accounts (KAs) in the GI medical specialty related to product areas of focus.

Performance Measures:

  • Support achievement of annual global revenue and profitability goals for assigned product categories.
  • Completion of programs and individual goals within approved operating budgets and within set timelines.
  • Strong working relationships across the organization with cross-functional team members and global sales team
  • Effective written and verbal communication on projects and key deliverables

Required Experience

  • BA or BS degree in business, marketing, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant business experience
  • Ability to collaborate and work with others in a dynamic team-based environment
  • Strong analytic and strategic thinking ability
  • Demonstrated ability to structure and manage a project from start to finish
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • High-level of proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
