Our Healthcare Customers are federally mandated (by Center for Medicare & Medicaid Services or CMS) requiring vendors to have the COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exemption.  There are select Customers who do not accept any exceptions. Unvaccinated Associates may be excluded from working at a Customer site, require routine testing with an approved exemption (if accepted by the Customer) or have limited Customer access impacting their ability to remain employed. Additionally, we may be required to meet state mandates on COVID-19 vaccination, exemptions and/or booster requirements. This position is a Customer-facing role that falls under a state or CMS mandate.

Position Summary

This position is based in Mentor, OH and will require 2-3 days working in office.

 

The primary focus for the Associate Product Manager position is to achieve or exceed revenue and profitability objectives for the assigned product or category. The position is predominantly a support role for a mixture of downstream and upstream marketing activities requiring interaction with a wide range of functional areas within the organization. 

Working closely with the direct manager, success in this role will be achieved through effective implementation in the following areas:

  • Marketing Strategy Execution & Program Management
  • Product or Category Leadership & Team Building
  • Procedural & Product Planning
  • Market Research & New Product Development
  • Field sales support 
  • Customer engagement for VOC
  • Sales training development and execution

Duties

1. Marketing Execution & Program Management

  • Work closely with product managers of assigned products to increase product penetration / win rate through assisting with the development of tools and programs that provide a seamless approach to selling value
  • Support product manager in problem solving issues related (but not limited) to supply chain constraints, Service escalations.
  • Support and participate in sales meetings, national & regional conferences, and events

 

2. Product or Category Leadership & Team Building

  • Establish the ability to win mind share with internal cross functional team members through a collaborative approach to identifying solutions based on data, building excitement and consensus specific to assigned product/procedural area to drive projects forward.

 

3. Procedural & Product Planning

  • Assist with efforts related to:
    • forecasting and financial planning/business case development
    • market potential/opportunity and target share by product line 
    • needs based Customer segmentation
    • value proposition creation
    • competitive analysis
    • reimbursement & GPO / IDN trends
    • understanding of market pricing by product line
    • key issues and trends
    • strategies to support sales execution
    • product life cycle planning
  • Work with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Key Accounts (KAs) in the OR /medical community –often related to product areas of focus 
  • Gain a general understanding of the competitive product marketplace
  • Keep informed on current market trends and sales analysis to sharpen ability to plan, review, adjust and approve product/procedural plans, including the identification of future product development opportunities
  • Working closely with direct manager, understand approach to pricing strategy stewardship within assigned product categories

4. Market Research & New Product Development

  • Provide commercial and clinical Voice of Customer supporting recommendations for NPD/508 based on qualitative and quantitative research
  • Using Clinical support and direct manager as mentors, participate in product testing with Customers to determine if product meets market needs 
  • Participate in planning and preparation for new product launches including forecasting, sales collateral, equipment evaluation requirements, pricing guidelines, and product training
  • Participate in the cross functional team representing marketing and meeting key milestones across projects

 

5. Field sales support Sales training development and execution

  • Provide input to sales training content
  • Participate in sales training 
  • Customer facing presentations
  • Support sales in customer presentations, site visits, demos, and trials of products.

6. Targeted business development

  • In collaboration with manager scout for BD opportunities
  • Conduct market surveys
  • Product research

Required Experience

  • BA or BS degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • 3+ years of relevant business experience
  • 0-2+ years of experience in Marketing (medical product marketing experience preferred)
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit a strong sense of urgency for executing strategic plans and achieving product revenue goals
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications
