Hours: 7:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thru), 7:00am-11:00am (Fri).

Duties

  • Process work orders, utilize and interpret blueprints and procedures and complete required assemblies.
  • Reject non-conforming parts and complete Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for Supervisor to approve if necessary, depending on area of responsibility.
  • Assemble various sub-assemblies, with the use of hand and power tools, according to blueprints and standard work instructions.
  • Use departmental test procedures, to ensure components and assemblies meet required specifications.
  • Document revision levels, lot numbers, and serial numbers on revision data sheets for tracking quality of components and assemblies.
  • Works effectively with others in a team environment.
  • Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates.
  • Adhere to Shop Practices including proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Meet quality assurance requirements and complete associated documentation.
  • Proper use care and maintenance of shop tools.
  • Perform electronic assembly and wiring.
  • Plumb and test pneumatic systems.
  • Occasionally use welding equipment and techniques as needed.
  • Use manual grinding machines and finishing hand tools as needed.
  • Basic PLC (Programmable Logic Control) changes to programs (depends on department and work area).

Education Degree

  • High School Diploma or GED

Required Experience

  1. Minimum of 5 years of assembly experience.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of relevant assembly experience involving assembling various sub-assemblies, with the use of hand and power tools, utilizing blue prints and standard work instructions. 
  3. Ability to read interpret and work to complex drawings, blueprints and schematics.
  4. Ability to use grinding and finishing tools.

Preferred Experience

  1. Basic tig welding skills, preferred.
  2. Basic plubming and testing experience, preferred.
  3. PLC (Programmable Logic Control) experience, preferred.
  4. Work experience in an environment using Lean Manufacturing tools, such as, 5S, Visual Management, Waste elimination, and Root Cause Problem Solving, preferred
